Why do you still play Runescape?

Bot accounts, sell, bot accounts, sell. Buy account, sell for more.


That about sums it up. Total I've made over $1k selling and botting accounts. I'm hoping on more as the market grows.

 

dont say that, iv been playing since early 2003..... and i still enjoy going to pvp on my zerker.
i personally dont hate on pvp or bounty, simply because with a high total level, i get pretty good drops
the only thing i hate on is the combat triangle, but i learned to take advantage of it so its all good
so in general, dont hate on pvp just cuz you get ur ass owned, hate on the combat triangle

 

I stopped when rushing with claws wasn't very fun...

Now I play RSPS, Halo Reach, MW2, etc.

 

nothing to do after football practice
and 2. to piss of jagex

 

Even though the games no longer up to my standards i still have a chance to make money off the game.

As Determinate said above, YUP, addicted is one main factor for why I still play RS. I've been playing it on and off since 2001/2002. Other than that, I still have interest in the PvP/Bh side of things, it can be quite competitive which makes it fun ;-)

I enjoy the process of setting a goal, planning how I'm going to achieve it, and eventually achieving it. I used to have pretty much the same mindset that a lot of you guys seem to have (this is in no way an insult, I don't blame you) and I used to bot for the vast majority of my levels/items but recently I've found that once I do achieve a goal manually the end product feels a lot more earned, and more like I actually accomplished something. For example, over the past 2 months or so I've gone from 137 QP to 277 with WGS done (for TDs). I've gone from 117 to 132 (nearly 133) combat. I've gone from 1760ish total level to 2060. I went from 7M to 200M, back down to about 5M (bought 95 prayer) and made my way back up to about 105M so far. Basically, I find that the more I do legit, the more focused I am and the more I get done.

tl;dr
I play to achieve my goals and better my character's items/stats.

sometimes its fun, its not a game that requires full attention either. So even if your busy you can still have time for Runescape. Other games such as wow ect you need alot of time to play..

 

I play for the awesome sense of satisfaction I get when my avatar gains another level!

 

I play because I still have a good amount of friends who I hang out with that play, and now I am enjoying making money off RS.
