What Next? You decide.

Recently reviewed, We wont be banning for this reason.

 

Banning for luring is not smart. We'd wipe out 1/2 of the user base.

Also going around and dictating your guys "sneaky gameplay" is a waste of time imo.

 

- Upgrade our forum's VB version (In my eyes the pro's outweigh the con's)

- Donation's through paypal

- Ad's finally fixed (The one that stretches the page to the right)

- More site activities as a whole whether it be gatherings on Runescape, Competitions here on the sight, ect.

- Expanded off-topic section

- Removal of group memberships from our user page, or actually using them to put what groups we are in. (Donator, Staff, UE, ect)

- New donation rank symbols, or an option between the new and the old

- More benefits for our donators (Maybe a few more post icons, or something of that kind. Nothing too big.)

- Implement a thank system

- An option for changing the overall color of our theme. For example instead of the regular light blue/dark blue combination we could have a red/black combination instead. (I doubt seeing this implemented, but I think it would be a cool feature nonetheless)

- An official IRC/T.C.


There are a few things that I had on my mind at the moment.

 

Just to let you all know, Staff are moving towards finalising the decision upon Off-site Activities and if they're applicable for a ban.

 

Whatever happened to sythe's MMO that you guys were working on quite a while ago? Did we just give up or was there another reason to drop it?

I would suggest continuing work on this project as a possible next step.

Also, minecraft is becoming pretty popular, I suggest sticking in a section for minecraft mods and servers, etc.

 

I didn't mean 'banning' in the sense of their accounts, but in discussion, talk, etc. on Sythe.

 

-Paypal Donations i think should be a number one

-Gold donations (After free trade comes out)

-Own Email system like [email protected] (Correct me if we have one)

-Easy acess to mods/OMM and stuff like there own personal chat

 

Our recent review evaluated all of that.

SytheMMO was dropped because of lack of interest.

Expect Paypal donations very soon, Gold donations is likely.

We wont have an email system because they're too easy to fake.
and most mods/OMM have their own public MSN.

 

Guide re-verification is the only thing I can really think of. Possibly every 30 days or so, since guides are usually outdated by the time most people buy them.

 

A minecraft sales section inside other game market or something like that.

and maybe get rid of the aion section?

Haven't seen anyone there in months


Also maybe a mod for every section like diablo/rs/ect ect

 

Gold Donating if it could be worked out correctly.

Remove Aion Market and maybe have a vote to decide what to put in its place.

 

Bring back donating gold if the free trade update passes.

DDoS protection would be the biggest thing now, looking at server speed.
With the new donations coming in, just buy a 1k a month professional plan from a reputable company. We can afford it.

That's a good point. I've noticed donations picking up dramatically, especially because of FireZ's paypal donation service which I think is fantastic for the site. I think traffic will pick up when the free trade/wildy update is live. DDoS attacks are always a pain too, so if we have the money, I think it's a good decision to buy a better plan.

 

I agree, I think administrators/moderators should have public msn's that go online sometimes to answer a few questions, etc.

 

Just a note to you guys on the DDOS protection installed here. Its already a pretty expensive package. Its very good but the HF kids have no life.
