I would say to have a certain number of posts to enter the market forum

Totally against this. The Market is the biggest attraction here and putting restrictions on it would cause the amount of users to go down.

Whether or not it's through forcing admins to be online a certain number of hours, I do agree that password resets are a concern. Perhaps a routine can be implemented in which globals can verify user credentials and forward them to the admins who could validate the reset.

Nice idea. I dont agree though. I think this would urge people to spam to increase their postcount. However, a 'Verified Sellers Market Section' could work.

We wouldn't introduce a postcount restriction on the Market. Just putting that out there so that something that could actually be implemented can be discussed rather than you all wasting your time.

Radical idea here... maybe Sythe should move away from Runescape and more into WoW. The userbase is larger, the updates are frequent, and if we got enough people to start services and such for gold farming, I'm sure we could take over the market and tank gold prices on a majority of servers.

Plus, WoW is so much easier to deal with than RS.... with the RWT rules, and all that crap... less restrictions = easier market.

Move more into World of Warcraft.

Admins should have a public MSN.

Firstly, about this scammer database idea. It would be nice to have, but do the benefits outweigh the fact that creating (and moreso maintaining) such a database would require a very large amount of staff resources. Planning, creating, and again, moreso maintaining this would demand a lot of man hours not to mention that scammers could easily create a new MSN or Sythe account. I think everyone is better off following good scam prevention habits than concuming valuable staff resources.

As far as the userbase is concerned, I think we needn't worry. I just got back from nine months away from Sythe and was surprised to find that many sections felt 'dead'compared to when I left. I've realised that we still have a good amount of users despite the decreasing site traffic. I think the new updates to RuneScape will generate more traffic.

And PayPal donations... It's no secret that people want this. It's good to hear something is in the works as I've been wanting to donate for the longest of times but can' without PayPal and can't find someone to do it for me.

    Just my two cents...

If you folks do your research and trade cautiously, e.g not going first to complete newbs and checking out their past history carefully you can avoid getting scammed.

Priority 1: Increase server speed, it's been shit recently.

Priority 2. (I Support Deacon on this)-Sythe Should move more into WoW (advertising on google, getting people to spam trade, etc).

Priority 3: Re-organize market moderators into smaller sections.
It could be done this way
    one for gold/item exchange/lounge
    one for pure account markets
    one for main account markets
one for other services (who is an OGV)
    one for user services
one-two for WoW/Aion markets (until we expand them)
    one for non virtual market
    one for other games market

A total of eight market mods. It could be smaller and divided different ways, really up for the admins to decide.

Why does this help? All market moderators will still answer all reports ASAP, no matter what section they are assigned to. This new system just allows the markets to be split up so the moderators themselves can comb for posts that break the rules, instead of expecting members to report them. It makes for a more secure system: as moderators will be vetting all posts in their assigned forums daily.

Similar things could be done with other sections, but they don't have enough volume yet.

Why not make emails for each Sythe.org member? It'd cut down imposters greatly.

There are a few negative side effects on that, such as people putting that they're Mods or something that could be used to trick people. I know it'd probably hardly ever happen, but it's safer for admins to approve and set UTs.
