Alright, so I've been having this discussion with another Sythe member about my report of another user for hacking interest. It is very interesting how this conversation plays out, I am providing a quote of it in this report. If you need me to take Screenies of the PM's, I can do so. Or ask an Admin to look at my messages (if possible).

Is it seriously a problem to be interested in hacking?
Yes, it is. And as a long time member and Donators to this community, you should be aware of that. As far as I know, it has always been a rule that Sythe is a community for Runescape cheating: not hacking, phishing, recovering, or any other practices that exploit other people and take something that doesn't belong to you. The official policy of Sythe is to be against such practices, and any discussion or advertising of hacking related material will result in expulsion from our community.

Dont get me wrong, Im all for banning the ones that want to use there wisdom to exploit and do wrong to others in the community, but the interest in the subject of "Hacking" is being over looked by that.

I love hacking, ever since I was 13 I would pratice at school and even at work when I started.
I ended up getting a job sololy around exploiting systems to get what I wanted out of them.

I have no intent on using what I do know to harm or bring discomfit to others because of what I know.

Thats why I think its harsh just because someone was apart of a hacking forum (same one iv been a member on for a few years now) and they were curious on 1 subject that they are a bad person and therefore a threat to sythe.
Iv been "curious" about all sorts of things, msn hacking, email hacking, java drivebys, the list goes on.
Not once have I used it on others to commit crimes.

Just thought your report was a bit harsh as this was the same person wanting to learn how to stay safe in a trade..
Seemed like you just reported him to get your numbers in there increased as he was no real threat.
Hopefully the mods see that too.... thats all
In the thread that I read, it was clear that he was asking the OP to help him infect someones server. Does this sound harmless to you? I assure you that I have no grudge against this guy, nor was I motivated by a desire to "boost my numbers." I have been a dedicated user of this site for a while (yes I know you've been here longer than I), and I have seen the way the staff deals with subjects of this kind. This community is no place for hackers or people with an interest in such things. FireZ would have dealt with this in the same way. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with that user personally, but his desire to hack others does not gel with the policies of our community. As long as you do not use your knowledge/interest in hacking to take advantage of others, I'm sure you won't encounter the same problem.

The title to the OP's thread was "FUD Your Server"
Notice the "your"
In his post he didn't provide any info to what hes asking to be crypted or what he has planned for his services.
Ok, I did a little more research on the topic "FUD'ing your server" (to make sure I wasn't being a little harsh/presumptious), and here is what I came up with. The term "FUD'ing your server" appears to refer to sending someone a RAT 'server' and making this file "Fully Undetectable" (that's what FUD stands for). by doing this, it gives you access to the other persons computer and information, using a program that is not detectable by the computer's built in Antivirus.

It appears that I, in fact, made a good call in reporting this guy.

You got the FUD right, but he never details what he is trying to make fully undetectable..
I never saw the word RAT in there..
I currenty have a server and use it to host counter strike and DoD games.
You have no idea how many things iv made "FUD" because of the servers anti virus and it clashing with some elements that need to be running to support the server setup.

It seems you are assuming alot of things out of the little text that you provided.

He says he is interesting in Hacking etc, but that he has never used it to take advantage of others. Don't know what your policy on this is.
I honestly don't think the user deserves a ban, since he says he doesn't want to take advantage of others. I only reported this because I have seen plenty of people banned who have a connection with hacking, so I wanted to bring this forward and allow you guys to decide.

Also, please note: When I researched the hacking information, it was ONLY so that I could provide justification for my report of the other user. I have no interest in hacking myself, or learning about things like "FUDing your Server."
