What do scammers get from scamming?

"Scamming Ingame money makes you a shitty kid, and gets you nothing."

Lolwut? You realise you are on Sythe where people sell go for real life money right?

Is it really that big of a deal to steal gp from some 14 year old who is wasting the best years of his life on runescape and then actually using it for real life money that is of actual use?

I guess it's a decision that each person has to make for themselves. To me I always view gp as having a real life value so I could never take it as I would never scam real life money either.

What do scammers get from scamming?

Is it really that big of a deal to steal a computer from some 24 year old who is wasting the best years of his life studying and then actually using it for real life money that is of actual use?

It's not up to you to decide whether someone is wasting their time on a certain activity or not, so stop using shitty reasoning to justify thievery.

What do scammers get from scamming?

Umm that comparison is not accurate in the slightest and we both know it.

And second of all I was deciding anything, I was just offering up opinions for both sides of the argument and giving people something to think about.

Take a second to read what people type before getting so angry champ.

The thing is, it happen's so much because they get away with it and only come out with a ban. A scammers ip should be sent to a ISP fraud list immediately after a scam has happened.

Kabal I love you man you are a pure genius your right its gp kids are rotting away at the computer but just as sad as the 18-24 yr olds spending irl money on gp . Scamming is more of a self fulfilling thing you know? It's like ''Oh wow that idiot fell for my tricks''. It's a bragging right kinda like having a big johnson in a different aspect.

What do scammers get from scamming?

Agree with above poster. Thats the reason really. Or maybe because they get scammed and feel they need to scam to gain their items back or of value. Nt because desperation, and OP, a scammer doesnt have to have your beleif, they can just get others.

What do scammers get from scamming?

You know what? I thought 4-5 years scammers weren't there, I'm not really saying that I was there 4-5 years ago, but I mean I believe there could have been a better sythe 4-5 yrs. ago.

Believe me I have been on sythe since 6 months and registered sythe this month, but I hope for a better sythe :/

Off topic, this topic bumped alot, I wished my accounts for sale could have been bumped that much :p

What do scammers get from scamming?

Nah sythe was still full of scammers 4 years back. Maybe even more... Especially with all the msn exploits that allowed people to basically spoof anyone's msn.

What do scammers get from scamming?

That comparison is perfectly accurate, you just value education more than video games, neither is more inherently valuble than the other. It doesn't matter what someone else chooses to spend their time on, nothing gives you the right to STEAL from them.

I'm not angry, I just want you to think about it.

What do scammers get from scamming?

At the end of an education you walk away with something of significant value. You should of gona the traditional route and compared rs to a hobby and how the both fine ways to spend your "free time"

C'mon now man, I've played this game as much as anyone, I think we can all agree it is a waste of time and just serves as an addictive escape from reality.

What do scammers get from scamming?

Yes, something of significant value TO YOU PERSONALLY. It doesn't matter what you personally think when it comes to someone else's posessions. I like reading books, if you don't like reading that doesn't make it right to steal my books and sell them.

Similarly, someone might place high value on video games and low value on education. That doesn't give them any right to steal your uni textbooks/computer and sell them.

And no, I think anything you enjoy is a good use of time. Please stop using appeal to the majority as evidence, it's the most boring and overused fallacy.

    Agree.

I'm sure rapists enjoy raping children. A good use of their time in your books.

What do scammers get from scamming?

    Appeal to ridicule.

Regardless, yes, that is a good use of their time if that's what they enjoy, though this isn't taking into account the harm they're causing. Playing runescape does no harm.

Yea, the more scamming that goes on the less trust people have. I always look for trust before i even think about buying anything. :)
