tbh I really don't see why people think that just because someone has donated $100, $200, and has dozens or 100+ vouches of swapping/gold selling and buying equates to being "trusted."

Always use a middleman. However, it is possible to place your trust in those who are reputable and get scammed so I feel for you man.
