VPSes for botting - Talk about them here!

It really depends what bot you're planning to run! By stable I mean it should run 24/7 with no problems. I ran a sorc bot 24.7 and I always came back to it running with a 90% success rate.

Nexus will use 700mb at the most to run smoothly.

I'm just planning to bot about 6-8 hours daily on my main, 6-8 on my pure and the rest on a gold farming account or a 'backup' main.

 

I was on PhotonVPS ages ago. The network seemed very, very slow. It's network was backed by cheap cogent bandwidth. Basically, slow speeds meaning slight lag/delay which will cause incorrect timing.

 

Do PhotonVPS or Seerhost allocate their CPU/resources?

 

Well I know many other members including me use Photon, and I just recently started using it. It runs 4 bots flawless (Warp 3), and it does not seem slow at all.

Don't know what was up with yours.

Get PhotonVPS warp 2 package. 1GB ram 2GB swap almost 2tb bandwidth on a Xen server, will cost you roughly $25 for the whole month. You can run one or two scripts easily 24/7. So remember how Hazenet oversold and some were VPS-less yet they paid? Well, I was one of them.

So today, I get an email from Hazenet, saying Thrust:VPS has taken them over. I submitted a ticket of what happened and they gave me my VPS

 

Ok guys just bought warp 2 from Photon waiting for email with all my info Wanted warp 3 but looks like they ran out. Anybody know what the memory usage is for a puro puro bot? Id like to run a puro + something on warp 2 and was wondering if you guys thought that would be possible.

 

Haha yeah, funny thing they did take over and they emailed me, service is up still thought I need to pay haven't paid a dime. Did you set up your vps with them yet? I'm going to email them and try start some form of relationship, maybe get some compensation for all the trouble they've caused me.

Puro is something like 467-768, if you ran in safe mode off a fresh boot with globals to the right, then ran your next client at 367m you might pull it off, and the spikes of memory usage will be taken care of by the burst. Let me know how that works out for you.

 

Not yet, I received info but once I get into putty and type in "vncserver" it says command not found so I submitted a ticket

 

I'll talk with them and see if they allow botting. I notice the people I've referred to them all have their service. If they can post and let us know how it's going that'd be great.
