Veto...

I'd like to see some change happen atleast as something needs to change.

 

Generally if a pardons Veto'd, it's not going to make it past the first stage of the pardon process anyway. I reckon it'd be cool if it required a couple of administrators to veto though. I know that administrators are awarded positions because they're unbiased amongst other things, but let's be fair it's almost impossible to remain completely neutral on something. Three people to veto kinda seems like overkill, but yeah I reckon both would work.

 

I'm sorry, but the fact that you see that as a good thing is just terrible. So you're saying you've vetoed 100+ pardons? I honestly don't even see a point in the veto system. Maybe let it go to a vote and veto if you believe the majority of the staff is biased in their voting, but at least let it go to a voting. So my opinion would be that every pardon that gains support to go for a vote should go to a vote, and a one-admin veto is good enough for me after the vote, with possibilities of it being overruled.

Otherwise, I like Richard's idea.

 

Veto is honestly a kick in the nuts if you find yourself on firez "Bad books" he can just overturn your whole stay on sythe with 1 word.

 

I'm in favour of 3 veto's from any given admin to for a pardon to be 'veto'd'. Veto's should be used in extreme cases, as Richard pointed out, and even in those cases, having more than one admin input would be beneficial.

 

If you just followed the rules in the first place you wouldn't have been banned to begin with. I don't get why people have their panties in a knot because an admin can veto a pardon, you broke the rules that stated that you would be banned (permanently). In any absence of a reason for a veto that is a pretty damn good reason to not let you back here, especially since you agreed not to break them upon registering.

If you just focus on keeping the ship running smoothly rather than being afraid that your hole plugging glue might not stick if your boat gets filled with holes you will be better off anyways.

I never broke any rules that would have gotten me permanently banned since I started coming here.

 

With the new restitution system, I find this statement acceptable. However, I still prefer multiple people's decisions over one person on a pardon.

I just think all Mod should have to give feedback on Pardons or what not or atleast an even number of Supports or Denies not just (denied now go about your fuckin life)
Or (vetoed) good day sir, or even auto archived.

I support having 2 admins to have a Veto, but it would make it even better if at least one of them gave reasoning behind it, as I have read a few pardons where an admin just veto's it and archives it, without letting the person know why.

2 veto is fine, 3.....you might as well remove it altogether

 

Would you be against removing it? At least 2 would be an improvement.

 

Yeah extremely against it considering there are way too many "soft" mods who fall for garbage sob stories. Always remember, most people don't deserve or stand a chance at a pardon.

 

Normally I would disagree with this, but after seeing the amount of support Lillie_services got, I am going to have to say this is somewhat true. However, one admin to veto is too little, so 2 should work perfectly.

 

Support. Require atleast 2-3 vetos for it to take effect or no veto power all together.

That way one admin does overturn a pardon because he has personal issues with a user.
