TwC with link to most relevant report

Support. Tried to lookup why someone had a twc recently and was unable to find the thread. Most of the time I'm able to but it could be made easier.

 

i support this this would be a great idea. Most twc people are skechy but some times its just miss read what they really did in the first place

 

support as it would make things easier to evaluate, would also love if that feature could be added for banned users too

 

I am also going to support this, I really don't have a different reason other then the ones that have been posted. Would just be nice to know why someone has a TWC.

I'm not sure if its because each TWC link would be different and therefore each rank would technically be a different rank that causes the issue.

We have hyperlinked miniranks but they all go to the same link. Which leads me to believe TWC's would've been linked long ago if this wasn't the issue. Secondly, the hyperlinked minirank has to be uploaded by Matthew/Sythe as such, so I guess an Admin hyperlinking a TWC would have to have image upload/database privelages.

That's just my guess, I'm in no way techy around here.

There may be a way to make it work out, but I believe it would take extensive coding to pull off

 

I don't think it'll be difficult to fix this. The whole rank thing is already custom made and there's already a TWC button in the modcp. Although I don't know how it's made, it doesn't seem difficult at all to add a hyperlink.

 

To make things more simple there could just be a (sub)forum where mods can post threads; the title would be the username of the person receiving the twc tag, and the thread would give some insight about the twc (perhaps a link to a report).

Sadly, after doing all the research on User Groups and Rank Hyperlinking, I don't think this is feasible and/or possible. What would probably be a much better idea is to have Staff post a link to the report that led to the TWC and put it on their profile page.

For examples: Blupig and then put it under profile posts. There should be a way to keep it from being deleted via AdminCP. (I.e. Users cannot delete staff posts)

After doing this all you have to do is make a sticky advising people where to look and all.

Would be nice to also include the new Market Banned rank as well in this idea.

 

I actually don't have any major problem with this for twc rank or market banned rank, I mean it makes logical sense to be able to know WHY they have that rank, obviously its an embarrassment but hey, I guess that's what the ranks are there for.

Miniranks would work as well, permissions would need to be tweaked to let globals do it though or else it'd never get done.

 

I would have no issues applying miniranks if that was rolled out, however yeah the issue still stands at the miniranks being needed to be uploaded by Matthew or Richard and I don't see anyone else being given database access for TWC ranks

This way no ranks have to be hyperlinked etc. You could also do this for DNT users and also those who have a debt that is owed.

 

We've started to post links to TWC reasons on the user's profile. We're testing it out to see how that works. I'd ideally like to have there be a way to change the UT of the person with the TWC and have it read "Click here to see why I have a Trade with Caution" where the here is hyperlinked to the thread.
