Time limit on dice posts.

Okay this is a super simple suggestion and the only thing that would have to be changed is the writing of the dicing rules on the "official dice thread" so basically what the rule would be is if someone makes a dicing post (first post proposing the dice i.e. 1m 07 vs 1m 07 one roll highest out of 100 QNR2A) that would be automatically void 12 hours after the post was created if you want to continue that post either bump it or make a new post.

Also there should be limits on once a post is quoted. If someone quotes a post there should be a timeframe that the quoted user has to roll also. Theoretically in the current situation I could post a 1b dice and if the person who quotes me rolls a high number I just don't ever respond. I think that it is within reason that if a person doesn't quote a post in a timely manner than they should be banned from donor dicing. It may seem harsh but if there isn't some type of rule in place I don't see why someone couldn't abuse this and still be in the right.

If a user is expected to make payments in a timely manner than someone should be expected to quote and roll in a timely manner also.

If you are leaving for an extended period of time than just void your original post it's not that hard and it saves a lot of frustration for the other party involved in the dice

No. If you post a 1b dice and someone rolls a 100/100 on it and you dont respond, you (should) get banned for scamming or roll.

That's what I'm saying there is currently no rule against this. Staff couldn't ban me because I'm not breaking any rules

 

There have already been cases in which the staff said "roll or ban". But writing it out is good.

 

When making some changes to the rules, I had proposed something to this accord. I can't quite recall why we decided to not implement it, however.

I still feel it would be useful so I support.

Punishments could be more harsh of deemed necessary but it should be put down in writing that a person has "x" amount of time or "y" disciplinary action will be taken

 

Support. I could see this being a major issue with people who think they're going to lose, and simply don't roll.

 

Its already unofficially in the rules to be honest. Dice bans will now be a popular punishment tool used for anybody misusing the Dice section. Making it official is something I will support though.

 

I would suggest the rules to be edited in such a manner that a post is only valid for 3 days and after that period of time, any rolls are deemed invalid and a re-post is needed (3 is just a suggestion).

If someone wants to cancel it before then, they can edit their thread. Three days is long enough that if they went in-active, someone will not just roll expecting a payout that would never come.

 

I'm a fan of having all offers be void / completed within 12 hours.

So I'd say like " XXXXXX qnr to accept" and that offer would be valid for 12 hours, after 12 hours no one can quote / roll on it. Once someone quotes and rolls, I then have 12 hours to respond to them and roll myself. Pretty much keeps everything within 24 hours which I feel is fair. As long as you can check back once within the next 24 hours you're safe to make a bet.

Usually most people only bet if they're going to be available in the coming hours out of courtesy, but it would be nice to make it official to avoid any sticky disputes.
