I don't agree with it, but people say it's just for the oil it is not.

But if it was just for the oil we would be over there still, take oil away from us? and see how we are? I herd this on tv but still never thought of it this way

I repeat: Most Iraqis want the U.S. out. Whether it be now, or a few months from now, they still want us out.

Also, what the hell are we doing there? Are we providing peace? How does an occupation army stop somebody from blowing themselves up in the middle of a crowd? To combat terrorism, you need an intelligence system, NOT an army.

A democracy in Iraq will NOT work. Those who claim that it will have NO understanding of the culture there.

Why can't they set up their own government?

This occupation has cost us around $400 billion so far. We are now nearly $9 trillion in debt. Where do we draw the line?

They need help because they can't do it alone with people being blown up left and right.

Their culture demands a strong, central leader. It's basically the foundation of Islam.

Also, our army being over there isn't really doing much to stop the bombings.

They seem to agree with a democracy, so i don't understand why it can't fit into their culture.

Like I said in one of my above posts....there's really nothing you can do significantly to stop the bombings.

Historically, they have never been a successful democracy. The current government that we have already set up has failed miserably.

They're not the same. Al-Qaeda hit us on 9/11, while Sunni/Shiite insurgents hit us these days.
