The thread disproves god entirely

You cannot prove or disprove god just by text...

Everyone has their own opinions about who/what "God" is. Some think there's no such thing, and others dedicate their whole life to god. But NO ONE knows if there is or isn't a god out there.

 

Really? Last time I checked, God knows if there's a God out there...hehe..(I love circular logic, only way to truly win one of these types of arguments)

But mcr, if you worship things of this earth, what good does that do you? 70 years of never quite achieving the things you want (cause you'll never have enough money) will leave you feeling lacking and unfulfilled, and what about after that? What if there really IS a heaven and hell? You're pretty screwed over then....

I disagree. I'm perfectly content where I am with regards to my search for what is real.

I feel that there is no God, and the reason that religion exists is to comfort people, to assuage their fear of death, etc.

The title of this thread is very deceptive. You did not present ONE bit of evidence disproving God, only assumptions. For all those claiming that there's irrefutable proof we were created by evolution, they should watch some debates between Kent Hovind and evolutionists.

As to your second paragraph, we do not know all about the human body, therefore rending these so called miracles, you prooved my point for me, thank you. WE DON'T KNOW ABOUT GOD, you prooved it right there, just because we don't know about the human body, doesn't mean that all these things could actually be explained, yet, somehow, the same can't be said about God? Now that is truly being very one sided, and hypocritical.

 

Whether God exists cannot be proven nor disporven. The word of God is a bunch of stories dated back a few thousand years ago. No one here was actually there in the past to know if these stories are accurate or not. The word of God and religion is based on beliefs and faith. Beliefs are a persons personal preference. They cannot be proven or disproven because a persons beliefs are very hard to be persuaded.

Now unless there is solid proof that God does not exist... I think I will stay believing that God does exist.

 

Why would you believe in something if it had never been proven true in the first place?

If I told you that I could levitate, would you believe it unless solid proof were shown to you that I couldn't?

Where does it say that the earth is flat? Give an example you silly atheist. When you try to make a point it helps if you give an example or present some evidence.

To the perfectly logical mind with no preconceptions, and extensive scientific knowledge, there is no reason to believe that a God exists.
