Sythe XMPP server live

For those of you who know what that is.

You can jump on with any xmpp client via:
username: [email protected]
password: sythe_password OR sythe_token

We're also trying to integrate it into the site with a js chat system similar to facebook. A few snags with incompatible css and js things to work out first.

Short for Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol, an open, XML-based protocol for server-to-server near-real-time extensible instant messaging and presence. XMPP is a rival protocol to SIMPLE.

There's no way to save transcripts, at least not on the client I'm on (Swift XMPP Client)

[n4n0]

For PC users, I suggest getting Psi. It saves transcripts, and is easy to set up.

why is this better than like skype or something

Can't get hacked (unless the sythe account itself is hacked) as it's hosted on sythe's servers, and utilizes sythe's login information to authenticate.

Cant wait til the day I see skype officially dumped by everyone

[FishFishy]

I see, add me fools.

Support.

Well this is great for the traders in this community. Another advantage that derives from the Sythe login is that it is hard to impersonate unless someone has an impersonating Sythe account.

I also imagine that chat logs may be able to be kept on Sythe servers, no? If so, it'd be a good idea to keep them there for a while to provide some assurance.

This. Ugh. Please be soon.
