    Hi all-

    Today I'm very pleased to release our new SytheChat client to all users. Sythe has been working on a Sythe.org chat service for a while now and you may have seen forms of it in a couple games he has coded.

    So, while he has been working on getting the chat service running, I've been coding a chat client for you all to use. The SytheChat client will allow you to use our XMPP server to chat with other Sythe users one on one and in group chats. It's in its early stages right now and is far from perfect, but we wanted to let donors use it and gather feedback. If you encounter any issues with the client, please report them here. I fully expect you to have issues and will work to correct issues as they arise.

    The client can be accessed here:
    http://sythe.org/chat/

    If you're logged into Sythe.org you should be logged in automatically. If not, just use your Sythe username and password (or a SytheToken).

    Edit: If you have two factor enabled on your sythe account and you want to log into chat via a third party client you will now need to append your generated two factor code to your sythe password each time you log in to chat.

    Edit by Sythe: As the chat is still a beta we remind users to ALWAYS REQUEST A PM before trading.
    If you don't have anyone to speak to on chat, click the green arrow at the top and type kingdoms into the box to join the main chat.

    Can you make it so it shows all online/connected users to said Chat?

    I.e, some type of lobby like you would have on IRC/teamspeak/vent etc, that shows everyone connected to the chat/online. Make it so that you're also able to simply click on any users name to chat to them 1v1, and or right click or something to add them to a group chat.

    I don't like how only if you add someone as a contact you can then only chat. It will negate people from using the chat. People will only add good friends as contacts to chat to (which is pointless as most have them on facebook/skype). By all means, keep the add contact option there, but don't make it a needed stepping stone prior to being able to chat to people. Needs to have the appeal of a friendly atmospheric chat, with people being able to chat to anyone they feel like without having the need to make it seem more personal/'awkward friend add'.

    Great update!

    I'n wondering if chat from here be used as proof in a scam report? Thatd make it much more convenient for trading since you don't have to worry about skype impostors/hackers.
