SLaDE: SytheLib Development Environment (use this to run and code scripts)

Hola fellas, I don't have time rn but long-term I'm going to be converting SLaDE over to WPF. Users won't notice a difference in performance but there will be a lot more quality of life improvements. WPF allows for better look-and-feel, and will allow me to implement a waaaay better code editor that supports easy themes and user-defined syntax highlighting and stuff (it's called AvalonEdit if you're curious).

Anyway just thought I'd post a little update. It's been a while since I've pushed code for this but I haven't forgotten about it!

 

Just updated included SytheLib to v10. Thought I'd done it already but guess not. That might be why you guys have been having issues with certain functions.

Also: I took down my website that handled automatic updates, so you'll see this when starting Slade. Just hit continue.


I'll use a different update server for the next one. One I don't have to pay for, lol.

 

would it make sense for me to do some C++ training before trying to write some basic scripts?

 

Do you know anything about other programming languages?

ChaiScript and SytheLib might be a decent place to start, but you might get frustrated with how little information is around online. C++ as a first language overall is pretty daunting. If I had to give you a language to start with I'd probably suggest C# or Python.

Slade is made in C#
