Skrill - How to be safe from possible chargebacks?

    Hey,

I have seen a lot of discussions regarding Skrill, and pretty much everyone agrees that it is safer than PayPal.

I've also seen that it is supposedly more relaxed regarding virtual item sales, yet there is still a possibility, be it ever so small, of a chargeback.

I was wondering if there would be any precautions one could take (such as asking for an ID, setting a certain TOS, vidding trades etc) to eliminate chargebacks entirely.

If anyone has the answer, I'd really appreciate it if they could share it.

Definitely take more opinions, but afaik the difference is just that Skrill supports virtual transactions while PP doesn't. The risk of chargebacks is still the same, though it might be easier for you to win a dispute with Skrill. All of the things you mentioned probably help a bit, but if there were a way that both truly prevented chargebacks and was convenient, people would use it. I guess there's always BTC/WU/MP and the like, but they're a hassle for a lot of people.

Do as you said (ID, putting specific TOS in payment, etc) to avoid chargebacks.

There's not much else you can do other than taking screenshots of the trade and having as much info to back it up.

I know for a fact that Skrill is much safer than PayPal as far as virtual transactions are concerned. Their team seems much more understanding with those sorts of issues. Just like when accepting PayPal I woupd request ID, do a bit of background research, talk to them a bit. If you can take those basic precautions you will eliminate 95% of the chances of even being charged back, and chances are even if they do dispute the transaction you have a good shot at winning.

    Thanks all :)

And yeah - I have always been very paranoid when accepting paypal trades. I think I'm one of the only ones around here that regularly use paypal and have never been chargebacked :p

As long as there is still a possibility of getting a chargeback that would be unwinnable, I'd obstain from using Skrill, as I could just use paypal for the people I'd risk the possibility of a chargeback from.

I was hoping there was a certain way to avoid any possible chargebacks with skrill, but I guess we're not that lucky :p unless someone else does know if it could be 100% secure if following strict rules.
