should i get a PS 3 or a XBOX 360.

It's actually been proven on countless occasions that the Xbox 360 graphics are better then a ps3's...My friends have ps3's but the new update for the 360 is going to be killer.

 

You're missing the point; PS3s are capable of better graphics, but it's up to the game developer to utilize those capabilities.

one thing about the 360. The wired headsets always break ive gone through 3 in like 5 months and most of my friends have to. i would probly recomend a wired headset. although i dont think they make them anymore so you would be very lucky to pick one up

Sony has less money than Microsoft. Deal with it. If Sony could afford better online servers, it probably would. Have PS3's ever had something similar to a careless error such as a loose solder which caused over one million systems to fail? I think not. JameS, you should wait until the PS3 slim and the Project Natal Xbox come out, then decide.

 

xbox360 better online play better games sure its 50 dollars a year for live but it's well worth it

What I'm getting at is it is the developer's prerogative to utilize the PS3's superior graphical abilities. By all means the PS3 is certainly graphically better than the Xbox, which that guy seemed to misunderstand.

 

I'd have to say anXbox 360.

The PS3 may have better graphics, but does that make it better? It has some free online playing? Big deal. The Xbox has a great amount of features, and there are a lot of people that use it. Not to mention all the great games that the platform supports.

Microsoft's manufacturers for the Xbox 360 made a careless mistake in soldering the 360 together. This ONE LOOSE SOLDER resulted in the "Red Ring of Death" (DunDunDun). Sony, on the other hand, hasn't had this happen to their PS3s.

By the way.

The Xbox 360 WOULD have better graphics if playing Prototype than PS3 playing a Nintendo 64 game somehow.

Xbox 360 LIVE servers SHOULD have better response, cause people pay for 'em, amirite?

The XBox 360 Games SHOULD be better due to Microsoft having a better Market share, thus having more people have Xbox 360s, thus resulting in more people playing a game so people develop a good game so more and more people will play it.

These are normal assumptions when people look for a game system.

Tell me that an Xbox 360 looks better when playing Prototype or Mirror's Edge than a PS3 does. Both use a Hi-Def output for Audio and Video. Compare in real time. Has ANYONE, and I mean AAANNNYYYOOONNNEEE ever done that? I'm thinking not! People randomly come in here and say "Xbox 360 it has better graphics better online and better games"

An Assumption is that, "Oh, people PAY for the online service on Xbox 360s? I guess they must be better because it is a PAYING SERVICE." That's what people think. Yes, it is.

People THINK that, because Microsoft is widely known for computer software and some hardware, that they'd be the better brand. They have a larger market share than most companies. People think, "Well, a lot of people would be trying to make a good game for this system because so many people are using it and so many people want a good game for it."

That's AN ASSUMPTION FOR THE BUYER. You probably haven't even researched anything on this subject. Personally, I actually play the little 360 box more than the PS3, mainly because the Xbox is closer to the TV, it's the only game system in my house connected through HDMI(PS3 looks the same when connected to analog than Xbox connected to HDMI), and my brother has more games for the Xbox.

Just because I play it more, doesn't mean I like it more.

The most memorable time of me playing a video game is when I was playing Microsoft Fligh-- oh, yeah, The second most memorable time was when I was playing Haze for PS3 online with my brother. So many lulz. Ahh, there was a guy next to a building shooting my brother with rockets, when I was in a truck, and he said "Ahh, who the hell is shooting me with rockets?" and I come out of NOWHERE with the truck and run over him, saying "That guy."

PS3 can have fun times too.
