Are you really that stupid ? Updates don't take forever. They take 1-2minutes at most. And 60$ a year, i mean cmon. Ps3 internet is for free. So yeah. Believe me dude, get ps3 and u won't regret it. U will be saying that xbox360 fails against ps3. And ps3 games have better graphics. TRUST ME PS3 IS THE BEST CONSOLE OUT THERE, i had xbox360 for long time and it's good console but ps3 way better. TRUST ME!

PS3 Offers good graphics and a quality homepage with many options to change- overall it's a good console. the PS3 Home (Game) is terrible tho, You live in a home create a character then you have to buy house objects. The console like XBOX offers music, picture and video storage on you device. Xbox is the one with the bigger hard drive and is cheaper. With xbox you also get a good homepage and the friends system is better- you also get achievements for gaming. When you complete a certain task you get x amt of points (20G for completing first fallout 3 level for example) When you buy your xbox a headset also comes with it and a free 1 month silver card (Chat w/ friends but no games.) IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR XBOX AND NOT GIVE IT POOR VENTILATION YOU WONT GET THE MOST POPULAR XBOX PROBLEM: THE RED RING. KEEP A FAN NEAR BY. WHEN I'M USING MY 360 I ALWAYS HAVE THE FAN ON LOW RUNNING AND I USUALLY PLAY FOR 7 HRS PLUS (nerd right?) SO GO WITH A 360.

Not so much, It depends on which games you are updating and it depends on how long you've 'avoided' doing the update - longer you avoid more and more things add on to the update list. Graphics also depend on Television too.

SO WHAT IF PS3 ONLINE IS "FREE", ITS ABOUT QUALITY NOT HEY WERE FREE. SO IT'S $50 A YEAR? BFD.

i read all your opinons, results in the poll are extremely close. im a fable/halo fan but the ps3 is more powerful so it will obviously be better for the long run..still not sure tho; im going to be buying either 1 in about..3 weeks or so. thanks guy for your opinons and such, your free to keep going on with them if you want.

 

Alright, I'm here to give you the unbiased view, unlike many other people.

PS3 is a better system in general. It has SLIGHTLY better graphics (almost unnoticable on a a standard HDTV). It comes with Blu-Ray and a built in wi-fi adapter (depending on which model you get). It can also do more things in general (browser, etc.).

The XBOX 360 has slightly worse graphics than PS3, but like I said, it is nearly impossible to tell the difference. It has less features, but the thing about xbox is that the online play is MUCH better. Xbox live is perhaps the pinnacle of online gaming. You could also argue that xbox has better games, but while there are more xbox exclusives, it is obviously opinion. So if it's purely the games you care about, do some research.

I'm trying to keep this short and sweet.

If you want a good system with a good amount of solid games and don't care much about online play, get the PS3.

However, if you want a system to play online, the 360 is the way to go.

thats true as well, i know someone who has to replace his 3 times; but as stated, you need to have it in a well-ventilated area..so it can keep cool. the ps3 has better cooling imho though.

You save money, and really all your paying for with the PS3 Is Blu-Ray.

The 360 has a larger and more powerfull GPU, rumours are that there will be an Xbox 360 Blu-Ray equivelance in the future.

Like i said, you dont get RR for xbox if you care for ur xbox and keep it in well ventilated area. and you do save money, like i said you can get acheivements and stuff, you get bragging rights. ps3 =More $$$ , xbox = less $$$ with a good friend system, chat and like others said ppl barely have mics on PS3 my cuz doesnt even have one and he uses it alot! thats why i know all about the ps3 and xbox experience. cuz has ps3 tht i play evry sunday and i own a 360.

People fail to take in to account that a PS3 is an actual ENTERTAINMENT system. It isn't just a games console. You get better value for money with the PS3 considering the features that you get with it on top of the games.

Furthermore, I believe the PlayStation 3 has better games. I actually laugh when people say "Xbox because of Halo, CoD4 and Gears of War" because those are the most overrated games I have ever seen on a console. I can honestly say that I'd get more gameplay value out of anything on the PS3, including but not limited to the Final Fantasy series (<3, each game takes AGES to complete, (took me well over 60 hours to get a decent length through FF10 on the PS2)), Call of Duty (it IS on PlayStation for you Xbox freaks), and so on. The graphics are quite a bit more defined, and as I stated, it IS an entertainment system so you do get Blu-Ray and a system that everyone in your family can enjoy rather than just those who are in to games. The PlayStation 3 online play is also free, as opposed to Xbox.

In any case, I don't see why when people say XBox because of 'x' shooter games. Shooters are absolutely terrible to play on consoles due to the limitations a controller presents.

 

I say get an Xbox 360. I'm into online play a lot and in all honesty, Xbox 360 has the best Online games available.

People that say the PS3 graphics "own" are just sucked into the hype. If you have a shitty tv, you wont get any of the effect of the PS3. I use HD from my Xbox and my HDTV and I can hardly tell a difference between my 360 and my PS3.

I've spent many more hours on my Xbox than my PS3. I've even spent more time on my Wii than my PS3.

(To the Final Fantasy freaks, that game isn't all that. It is a dying RPG. Bethesda is taking over the RPG world. Sure, Fallout 3 and Oblivion are multiplatform. Just because FF is on a system doesn't mean you must buy it.)

 

I can't believe you have the gall to compare Oblivion and Fallout 3 to the Final Fantasy series. Final Fantasy is in no way dying, and Oblivion and Fallout 3 were so terrible they made me want to gouge my eyes out.
