Should alcohol be banned?

Yes, that is what is on my mind. The government would be losing a big part of their revenue.

Actually, the effects of alcohol to society and the community is far exceeding the revenue that's gotten from the taxes.

yes and no, alchohol should be enjoyed by anybody who can handle the outcome. Kids/teens drinking is a big no no. But young adults and adults are free to do what ever they like

 

No, simply because it supplies to many jobs and gives the government alot of money. Also to ban something this big in America would go against everything it stood for.

 

No. Alcohol has been banned before in the US, and all it did was lead to illegal alcohol.

 

All I have to say is, alcohol and weed should be looked at the same.
The only difference between those two drugs are that alcohol takes thousands of lifes each year, and weed doesn't.

Weed is illegal (almost everywhere) so alcohol should also be illegal in the country's where weed is illegal.

I beleive it should NOT be banned. but if weed is going to be illegal, alcohol might as well be too as weed is 10x better for you than alcohol. But i love both and think both should be legal.

 

Technically,yes;realistically, no.

It is harmful in terms of effects it has on the body, and the actions many participate in while drinking (impaired judgement leads to drunk driving, etc.), however, it really wouldn't be practical due to how common and accepted it is by a large amount of people ... Making it illegal would just cause the return of speakeasies and all of those wonderful '20s things.

So yes, it should be legal, however, it's virtually impossible to make illegal and it has been attempted before, and failed quite badly.

 

I don't think it should be banned
Although alcohol can cause many different health problems and other things, it isn't like that's the only thing in the world that can cause death
I could just as easily get hit by a car walking to my mailbox, and partake in drinking alcohol for years, and never die.
Ultimately the decisions you make while drinking are the problem. If your stupid enough to drive a car while under the influence you deserve anything that comes to you honestly.
But the problems from banning it would be even worse then the occurrences that happen while it isn't.
Punish the ones who use it stupidly, because its not bothering the rest of us, and we have the right to do whatever the fuck we want
