    Should the age to vote be reduced to 16?

    I think the voting age and the age of majority should be the same. What if kids felt pressured to vote a certain way by their parents? A voting age of 18 protects the integrity of the system

    I agree with you, most of the time kids aren't even that "smart" and they probably won't even know what they are voting for.

    Had you asked me when I was 16, I would have said absolutely.

    However, you're asking me now, and my answer has changed. I am really astounded at how I behaved when I was 16. There was this sense of "I know all I need to know!", and yet I had so much more to learn, both academically and philosophically.

    Now of course this is a subjective experience, but it seems as though if you were to go around asking people if they had fully matured by 16, the answer would be no. Even if you said 18, the answer would probably still be no. This is all conjecture, however, not sure if any studies have been done on the matter.
