RSN'S BLACKLIST

The similar list as for 'recoveried accounts' why don't we have yet a list of scammed names, it would be easy to hit up ctrl + f and just check if the name's scammed. And if someone found their name on the blacklist and wanted to remove it they'd need to give a very good reason why is the scammed name under their posession now, as the community isn't that big.

It would be easy to keep up with the names that's been scammed and prevent people from buying them, making it harder for snipers etc. to sell the names.

Also you'd need to have a proof about the name that's been scammed, obviously.

Also with the said list, we could even catch the scammers. People just can't know if the name's scammed or whatever not if the list doesn't exist.

 

If it's too much work for you all to keep up with the thread, I offer myself to update it daily.

No?? This doesn't happen because names move so frequently and this is the reason that it's not implemented at the moment. You can't prove whether the name owner is a legitimate owner or a sniper/scammer as ownership could have switched hands.

It'd be really nice to have a guideline but I don't think the name list is going to come back :| Several sniped names have been sold since the removal of the list because they didn't know they were sniped lol. can't win eitherway name sales is just shady

 

Yeah and I explained that, IF YOU have a proof about the name that it's not scammed it will be white listed but what is the chance that someone else than the scammer would have the name unless you bought it inside the runescape or any other blackmarket, THOUGH you could have checked the list if its blacklisted or not. And why you can't prove that the name is not scammed or sniped your about to report to the blacklist? Just same thing as if you made a report about the person. Or you saying that scamming names can't get you banned?


Imo this list would work out and prevent scammers and even get evaders banned if at some points.

So basically if you posess a name that's been black listed, you need to give a very good reason where from you got it into your hands, otherwise you won't be able to sell it on sythe forums.

As I said the community isn't that big that you just would get a blacklisted name into your hands. There would be a rule that if you buy a name it's your own job to do a check out at the blacklist if the names scammed or not, if so you will report the person and he has to explain why he has it. Simple as that.

Please explain me how it's not possible to prove that the name is scammed or sniped? F.e you sell a name on sythe forums and recover it back, your able to do a report about him and he gets banned for scamming. Also for sniping, I sold a name "TYVM" and it got sniped during the trade, the person who sniped it came to my topic and said thanks for snipe and got instant ban. What is that if not a proof? And if he didn't got banned and came to sell the name like nothing has happened, it would have been okay for this community which I find in my eyes pretty stupid.

 

We had one years ago, and i'm talking yonks ago. Seemed redundant when it was removed the first time, seems redundant now.

 

And as an example to that snipe story I told about, if the name was blacklisted and he came here to sell it, where the f** could he have got it from if not from sniping the said name?

 

Seems redundant, so it's okay for people to snipe "classified as scamming" so basically it's okay for people to scam here? Also it's ok to scam the names as well? Like if you sold an account and recoveried it back, it's okay that you re-sell it here? You can just say that you bought it inside the runescape or from other black market, isn't it quite obvious that it's the same person selling it just ban evading, if he even got banned for it.

 

I'm just saying that the current rules are way too blue-eyed and also supports scammers, I think it should be otherwise.

Sometimes you just need to use your brain for thinking, it's not illegal to ban from sythe under any law, you don't always have to go by the book. If everything matches to it and the person doesn't have a good reason / story how he got the name, he doesn't have to receive a ban but just cant sell the name here, he has to use another blackmarket in order to sell it. That's just stupid and supports scamming and selling scammed goods.

 

Sniped names can move hands, so the current owner of the name isn't always the one who originally sniped it. if they now own the name and want to sell it they should be able to. If you can provide proof in any way that the seller of said name sniped it, then by current rules they'll be banned anyways.

Yes they can. But they wouldn't if we had the list, not that much at least. The idea of this is to slow down the traffic. Explained it many times, if you got sniped name in ur hands and you bought it off sythe whilst it was banned on the list here.. okay. But you'd need to prove it. Because it has been sniped off sythe sales and you came here to sell it.

 

Also as an example, you sell a name recover it back you get banned, you evade the ban and sell the name and say that you bought it off here and u have registered couple days ago, what are the chanches? We shouldnt be such blue-eyed regardin to these. Sometimes common sense is the key.

 

Support. Got scammed a name by a "trusted" "highly vouched" player. Guess what? They can easily take advantage of the fact that a person like me has no reputation. The name selling system / rules are so flawed and anyone can easily be scammed for a name.

Please add, at the very least, a blacklist or a trade with caution to the names people rightfully believe should be watched.

 

I get what you're saying and i agree to an extent. What if someone bought a name that's sniped, but not on sythe and has no proof. The name might've been sold and sniped with the use of sythe before but a current owner might not have proof and might not be guilty. Making them not be able to later on sell the name here wouln't be good.
