[Denied] Scammer Banlist like runewatch for sythe

We should have an active ban-list/DNT for all the RSN's for scammers on OSRS/RS3, with people following name changes to edit/ new names scammers change to, like that people can search the list and if the person they are trading with is in the banlist (with reason next to it) then that saves them from getting scammed , especially if they are dealing with an impostor scammer/double spender etc.

Could work kind of like the one on WDR/runewatch

someone kind enough can even go next level and create a Runelite plugin, which highlights scammers in RED or another color.

 

No support I feel keeping track of this would be extremely difficult.

Nonetheless, it already exists in practice. Sythe now requires the login name/email within the scam report. If you are going to purchase an account and want to verify that it has never been used within a scam, you can simply type the login name into the forums' search function.

If you are buying an account, which I have done a few times now, the first thing I do is audit their IP. Make sure the user is not ban evading/active reports against them. Yes, people share the same IP, that is why you should take the time to make sure they are who they say they are.

Second, audit the account—type in the search bar something unique the account has, or a few skills. Take the time to scroll through the search list. A little extra time making sure it's a legit trade is worth it.

Third, know you are going to get scammed. Do not put up forth a lot of money if you are not comfortable because someone can ALWAYS recover an account, no matter how trusted someone may seem.
