Question for Atheists

Demoninations are smimply the different ways of interpritation of key verses in the Bible. I'm not very familiar with other demoninations, but it seems whatever you believe to be true. I was never really judgmental and looking into other demoninations because of the reason I believe I was able to find my denomination immediatly, but if you are really looking for a good answer, I'll read up on the subject. Catholosim is also very distorted from the other denominations.

Yes, I can understand everyone being in a freaking religion because everyone else is, any I hate that, thats what makes me angry. If you have no flipping idea about what you believe or why you believe it, and your not even interested that I would effing kick them out of my church.

as for your story, I feel that unacceptable of what they did to you. We had an old friend come to our church just this Wednsday and alot of the people here were very accepting of his beleifs, although I confronted him about what he beleives afterword, and they always make for those interesting arguements.

How do you believe the universe began?
Where did matter come from?
What do you believe about the orgins of man?
Do you know why you believe what you believe?

When you deny anything we say as to what can you say about this? and you say "oh there acting" or its exaggerated something like that ect. there is no valuable proof, but the thing is, what would the universe be constructed so perfectly? everything just happened by chance. A theory could mean nothing at times, you say, "we have theroy" like your all high and mighty and that you believe there is no after life, and science must be right ect., but what happens if your wrong? it takes science many tries to get something write, such as an invention or something, what if this is one of those many times science is wrong, what happens then?

If you believe the Bible, then you believe it is the Divine Word of God, and that it was not written by man, but by God, through man.

Think about it, if man wrote the Bible, would he really make the Christian church into a female, design heaven with no sex in it, and say that they were going to be married to Jesus in heaven? I don't know about you guys, but this is not what I would have written if I had made up the Bible.

The thing I hate about these posts, is that alot of people like you come here, and post one thing, and then never come back, but anyways, why do you believe God is not real?

 

How is it an inherent property of the universe? What created the universe? What caused the big bang? Who created the components which that big bang originally used to cause a bang?

I have went from both sides of the fence on this topic and eventually found myself back to the creationists. If your not willing to be open minded on any topic at any time your will never see what they see, you will never understand what they see and why they see it. I do get frustrated with Christians and Creationists alike for the fact that you forcing things on people makes them resist and gives them a reason to fight. Along with that there will always be people who believe they know what there talking about and mislead and work against what there trying to do. But there are people who do understand it and will fight for what they believe.

I am not going to debate why there is a god or why there couldn't be at this time, I will later cause I'm not in the mood to do this I will be back in a little bit.

The universe isn't constructed so perfectly, as you so eloquently describe it. 99.99% of the entire universe consists of big, dead, clumps of rock, floating the space eternally with no purpose whatsoever.

The oxygen on our planet, that we seem to take for granted, is actually lethal and poisonous, but in the very early stages of evolution, before we left the oceans and ventured onto land, we adapted to the atmosphere and its components. This was a breakthrough for the Natural selection.

The same question could I ask you, what if YOUR religion is wrong, and one of the hundreds of other religions out there is the right one, what happens then? Well thats exactly it though. Still doesn't say there isn't a god. there is evidence but being fighting a one sided argument is like being a one legged skater your not going to get any where the most you can do is spin around in the same shit over and over.
there is no way to prove its non-existence but there are ways to prove its existence meaning there still is always the possibility its there meaning this statement is true but irrelevant to the fact that it could exist.

The same shit is just going to keep being said, I think everyone realizes there is no proof that God exists.
I thought that was the point of religion that you are supposed to base your belief on faith not cold hard evidence.

what i like to tell god beleivers is that you go to a library and see the shit load of books of science trying to explain the universe and its beginning, and then u look at religion, you have 1 book, that was wrote thousands of years ago by people that thought the world was flat. like cmon...
and to the ones that say "prove it". we cant. tho the atomic theory cant be proven either, yet it works. the atom bomb is a classic example of this, its an experiment that uses the atomic theory and it works, tho we still cant prove it.
