[POLL] CDT/PR/TC - Usergroup colours/markups

Once something is introduced its hard to get rid of. I do not believe any of these usergroups need colored ranks. They are not staff, but just normal volunteers. People were recognized as being part of these groups before the color changes came about.

It seems like the lack of activity or “engaged users” on the forum is being used as reasoning to excuse the non supportive feedback from the ones who are willing to share it.

On the flip side, it can be said that adding coloured user groups increases engagement due to the added incentive to volunteer on the forums. While I feel the team right now suits the benefit well, I think that Down the road an issue may arise with people volunteering for the wrong reasons just to increase their profiles appeal to onlookers.

 

It's likely a reflection of his own opinion on the matter.

 

Baffled by this logic that the wider user-base is yet to vote. It's the most irrelevant statement, and out of context statement ever. If people actually think/believe community updates (non-market/forum structure/rules, etc) are based on the wider portion of the user-base (wider portion = come to the website once and never return), not the active/somewhat active users, then they're mistaken.

Going by that logic, we should never close CDT events, community member votes, etc, since only 20 - 30 odd people vote. Basically any vote in the entirety of this website should be re-opened until 1000 users have voted.

I've always attempted to remain objective in nature, and have no favourites, nor sides. If I believe somethings wrong, I'll voice my concern, no matter if it's implemented by Rich, another Admin, or any other user. I'm sure most users/ex-staff can attest to how I approach all matters.

It's pretty much the end of februari, the moment we have been waiting for. The results are still the same as when we were told to wait a couple of weeks, will actions be taken now?

 

I think the sentiment towards this change is evident by now.

We were instructed to make a poll by the Admin team - which has been done.

We were instructed to wait 1 month - which has now passed.

Ultimately if the Admin team are against reverting said change, then that decision lies with them. Hopefully the communities thoughts/wants are taken into account however, as this update is essentially one for the community.
