Police Brutality

I feel that racism isn't the issue behind this. I think that it's the way the police officers are being trained, they're being taught to shoot first if they feel in danger of a person whom has done something wrong (in 99% of cases).

 

American Police have no race restrictions on law enforcement, so it seems purposely misleading to say "African" Americans, when it affects all Americans, not just those who immigrated here from Africa.

 

It is so much more racist to consider me "african" american, instead of just American.

I think the police are racist in the sense they believe every stereotype, so they defend themselves. I'm shooting to be law enforcement and I know that I won't pull a Michael Brown, but I will be more weary around those I deem suspect. In no racist way or form.

I've not read through this thread, but, being a football (Soccer) fan I see Police Brutality nearly every game I attend.

Horrifying to say the least.

 

Reading some of the posts, if you watched any of the videos where someone is killed by a cop, it's because of this, the cop is scared and the victim isn't co-operating what you fail to realize is they get called in by dispatch saying that this guy has a weapon/knife/gun be careful, and then the "victim" doesn't co-operate they run away, resist, go on a chase.. Maybe if they would just smarten up and stop pulling this "I KNOW MY RIGHTS YOU CANT TOUCH ME BLAH BLAH Bullshit" they wouldn't end up killed.

 

It entirely depends on the situation and the police officer. I remember one time a cop was being racist to a black male. "Over-exaggerating" his offense with it being small as it is.

While on the other hand I've seen police safely disarm other black people and arrest them with no injuries.
Some cops can be racist while others are just good members of society. I'm not sure how they're trained. I think they're all taught
the same thing.

 

It's all about depopulation

 

No that's not what it is about at all, you think that killing the occasional african american while there are hundreds of thousands of them born a day is effective? Hell no. The killing of African Americans brings so much attention that this would be one of the worst ways of "depopulation".

 

There needs to be an improvement involving the screening process for the employment of police officers, specifically mental evaluation, and a current reevaluation of officers already employed. It's absurd how quickly some of these officers resort to deadly force. There is too much comfort in killing humans due to the unlikeliness to face any significant consequence.

 

This really is a circle of death. In order to fix it black people need to obey the law more and stop killing eachother. If they did that then there wouldn't be that huge of a need for a police presence in black neighborhoods. The police know that black neighborhoods are more dangerous. This is just a fact of life. As a result the police is more ready and willing to use deadly force to protect themselves. If you know that region A is more dangerous than region B then you will be more ready to protect yourself in region A.

This has been happening for years just now it's more recorded compared to back then, because people have phones and have seen other peoples videos of police brutality and realise they're aloud to record the police. back then no1 had video camera's and we're told to turn them off or they we're broken.
