The Police

Reminds me of a quote I stumbled on a long time ago. Was funny at the time:

You think you're the only one? When I was 15, I had been in a fight, and a police officer wanted to have a talk with me, but I was a complete dumbshit and thought I'd look cool infront of my friends if I ran from him. I got caught 20 minutes later, got thrown to the ground and was arrested.

Do I blame the cop? No, because I was the one who fucked up. I'm tired of other criminals who blames the cops for something stupid THEY did.

 

I'm talking about people who spend 9 months in jail for shit they didn't do... I personally spent an unjust 3 months on house arrest awaiting trial because they were trying to charge me with a felony when it was only a misdemeanor. One of my good buddies got charged with a felony terroristic bomb threat just because he happened to be standing next to a payphone that a threat had been called from 10 minutes earlier, he had to spend awhile in juvie and got expelled from school. Another friend of mine had a step dad who hit his mom, so he beat the fuck out of the guy (I would have too) and he got stuck with 6 months probation while the stepdad only got a $150 fine. A couple months ago there were 2 cop cars on the side of some empty road with their lights flashing, but they weren't doing anything important, just sitting outside their cars talking... my friend and I drove past them, they got in their cars and pulled us over because "Your supposed to slow down to 30mph if an emergency vheicle has it's lights flashing" we got a ticket. Fuck them, they were doing nothing and the road was empty.

There's this town a couple hours away from me, and there was this black guy there who was having an affair with some cop's wife. So the wife turns up dead, and the black guy has a solid alibi and two eye witnesses say they saw the cop at the murder scene, but they decide to ignore the evidence and send the black guy to jail for murder. It's super fucked up.

But whatever, that's just a few examples....

 

Blah blah, I've been arrested before.. I still have respect for them.

 

Why so much hate at the police why.

 

Well only good cops should be respected..Some cops just go out and shoot at the victim and accidentally shoot an innocent man/women.

i can say that my mom is a cop and shes just a person like the rest of society and she treats people fairly, she doesnt pull people over unless there 14+ over the speed limit, thats like racism actually because if i were to say, all black people are bad.... all cops arent bad but your attitude reflects on the cop him\herself's attitude

Yea I do, and I agree that's the main problem. They pretty much run the show here and there's shit you can do about it... they gang up on people and are racist assholes. Pull people over for no reason and if you look funny your gonna get your shit searched for an hour even if they can't find shit. There's another small town near by where the cops will literally "Pull you over for good driving, to give you a coupon for Dairy Queen"... I mean fuck you, if I'm driving well then leave me the fuck alone, I might be trying to get somewhere in a hurry. It's just an excuse to try to bust people.

Cops serve a valid purpose but I think the problem stems from the amount of protection they get.. most of their actions are never questioned, especially in small towns like this. It also doesn't help that they often have some sort of quota, as in an amount of tickets they need to write per month, causing them to bust people when they don't have to.

 

Cops have (mostly) unchecked power. Power corrupts. Cops are often corrupt.

 

Not exactly. I do not listen to rap. I'm not a "Thug". I wouldn't be allowed a thug, even if i tried. I still hate cops.

A big fraction of cops are hard asses who do what they do because they have the badge. If it wasn't for that badge, gun, pepper spray, whatever, they wouldn't dare to do some of the shit they do now. All of the cops that i've dealt with listen to your story, twist your words around and turn you out to be the bad guy- Some don't even know the rules that they are trying to enforce. I was stopped by a police car, there was four of us, and atleast three cars for "Being out past curfew with weapons." ...We had fucking bats, and it wasn't past curfew, and for some reason they needed 8 cops for 4 people. And when they asked us if they knew what time it was, I guess they literally meant it. They had to check for themselves, and then they had to look up what the curfew was.

So to sum it up, I don't like cops; They are dicks. Show me a good cop and i'll cut my hair.

 

Like a wise group once said (N.W.A) Fuck Tha Police. Police serve no purpose in life.

 

And yet another person wrong, Police serve a purpose. Without police, everything would be hell. Without police, laws mean nothing, which means that people could do anything they wanted to anybody or anything they wanted. I could come shoot your father, rape your mother, and smash in your monitor. How does that sound? Police serve a purpose, wether they are dick heads or not. Oh and NWA sucks.

 

NWA is just super raw. They got to make songs about their daily lives and people listened to it.

Rage against the machine covered them too, which is about all it takes for them to be awesome in my book.

 

If you came into my house and attempted to steal my property, I would shoot you. I do not need police to help me do that, even if I called them you would be out of my house by the time (if) they showed up.
With or without police there are good people and bad people.

 

If you truly believe that there are no good cops, then you're just an idiot.

 

Do you honestly think society can thrive without some form of authority? You have a really shady fucking perspective on things, don't you.

They are needed yes but I do think they don't always make the right decisions...

If I'm with a few friends laughing loudly, they will think we're doing something illegal most of the time.
