What would you expect of the OGV team? For them to verify guides.

Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users? Mods and knowledgeable users

Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide) No, not at all it is useless because I don't trust a member with 3 posts who post a review.

Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try? New applications to be fair to everyone, as someone suggested a perpetually open application process like an OMM or back like the UEs.

I would personally like a chance at getting this, so I am not going to BS here. haha

What would you expect of the OGV team?

To verify all guides in a prompt manner.

Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users?

I had no objections to the previous system, so long as the Trusted Users were thoroughly background checked.

Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide)

I think it's good as a supplementary, but, as a stand-alone system, no.

Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try?

Reapply. The point of having applications is to choose the most suitable candidates. If past successful applicants are indeed the most suitable, they will be accepted again.

Do you think the ability to post a review of a guide should still be allowed with OGV?

Yes, the ability for anyone to post a review of the guide should they have read it should be granted to all. As stated before, the review system itself is good, but only as a supplement.

Added a new question: If you wish to edit and answer it, or re-post, go ahead.

The last OGV team was actually pretty good and on top of things. I know that might be biased since I was on it, but I think we all did a good job and the return of OGV won't cause any harm.

Don't understand how it could cause any issues.

Might as well for buyer safety.

What would you expect of the OGV team?
To verify guides as working for buyer safety.

Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users?
I think Mods + trusted users would be a fine system, just as OMM is quite a good step of being recognized by the community and possibly leading to a chance to join staff, this could serve as the same.

Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide)

No, I don't think users, yet alone untrusted ones, should play a huge benefactor in whether someone makes money off their guides or not.

Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try?
Neutral on this. Not quite sure.

Do you think the ability to post a review of a guide should still be allowed with OGV?
Yes, the most users who post experience with the guide can simply bolster what a verifier has already said.

Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try?
Re-Introduce applications, the old OGV team weren't too efficient.
You have 0 idea, so I don't know why you are saying this.

What would you expect of the OGV team?
Same as last time
Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users?
Same as last time, mods to run it/ possibly other users and truster non mods.
Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide)
I think it both helps and hurts.
Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try?
Old OGV's. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
Do you think the ability to post a review of a guide should still be allowed with OGV?
Only if they bought the guide, no review from a free copy.

Also Karl, you are saying not to count our votes for bias, which I completely understand, but the majority of the people saying re-applications is bias as well, because they want to apply.

What would you expect of the OGV team? Active in the guides section, make sure they are do their job professional.

Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users? Trusted users

Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide)No, people can easily just self-review themselves or give one to someone who they know will write a positive review.

Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try? Everyone should retry, a lot of the old members are mods now.

Do you think the ability to post a review of a guide should still be allowed with OGV? Yes

You are suggesting that no mods should remain in the team?

Bias from the original OGV team

I don't think that is a valid excuse really karl, considering that everyone who thought that they had a chance before or people that want to apply will be obviously biased as well. I see no reason to nullify any votes..

What would you expect of the OGV team?

Review / Verify within 72 hour time frame random things.

Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users?

Mods + Trusted Users (who also have the time and knowledge to contribute)

Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide)

It works but it has its flaws, considering I have only been asked to review two guides with the new system and both of them ended up being ripped.

Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try? I could care less honestly, however I think the old OGV's would be more efficient considering experience. The old OGV team did an extraordinary job before.

This is now irrelevent due to higher voting counts. :P your votes will count

What would you expect of the OGV team? To verify guides
Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users? Anyone who OGV Leaders deemed trusted enough to do the job.
Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide): Not at all
Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try? Retry

I'd love a OGV back tbh. It's much better to know that the guide you're buying is verified and working from a reliable source.

What would you expect of the OGV team? - Constructive, detailed analysis of a submitted guide. I'd ideally like to see guides verified within 2 days of posting, which seems fair if there's a team of OGV's.

Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users? -
A mix of everyone tbh. Obviously it's nice to see mods but they're busy sooo....

Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide) - Not at all, it's a load of rubbish because as soon as someone posts a paid guide, everyone jumps in saying they'll review it for a free copy. An OGV would nullify people asking for free copies because an impartial review would already be present from a reliable source.

Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try? - Tbh, I never really saw that much of the old OGV team, but I think it should be open to people to 're-try'. I say this because it not only allows for new users to gain the OGV title, but also the old members. I mean, if they've done it before, they can do it again and everyone gets a chance this way.

Do you think the ability to post a review of a guide should still be allowed with OGV? - Yes, I think it's important to understand fully what the OGV thinks of the guide. It would allow a deeper analysis of guides and present the potential buyer with better information going into a trade.

i agree

What would you expect of the OGV team?

Honest, impartial conclusive statements for or against pending guides. Active always, allowing for fluent continuation of the newfound *safe* guide market.

Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users?

Moderators, and trusted users both. Like others, i agree that the extra commitment might be a strain on staff- so let other trusted members have an opportunity to apply. Video for head OGV. ;)

Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide)

Of course? Constructive, and not so constructive criticism and feedback is always a clear indicator of what to buy, and what to avoid. The OGV team will further solidify this.

Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try?

Im not familiar with the old OGV team, and i am not denying their incompetence- but i think it'd be fair to ask for a second wave team for this next generation.

Do you think the ability to post a review of a guide should still be allowed with OGV?

Absolutely. Whos to say that users won't conflict with the OGV teams review? In my eyes, this team acts as a guideline, to weed out the good from the bad before they get all mixed in with eachother. Whether or not a user will be satisfied with a verified guide, well... thats up to them.

I don't understand the purpose of another vote of new OGV's; they were not doing anything wrong, just some stupid system came into place that kicked them off. They were all doing fine.

Most of the people here are only voting for another OGV vote because they got denied or didn't apply.

Agree completely.
This.

I think applications should be continuously open and everyone should get a shot who is trusted/experienced enough. It couldn't hurt to have an OGV team of 20 or more great members like yourself. It isn't about the exclusivity, it's about how fast we get verifications done.
I honestly don't know. There really doesn't need to be more than 6-7 like there was beforehand. You would start to get saying what he said, etc 5 times on a thread.

In all honesty, a application system will probably be introduced regardless.
If a member who was on the team before was very capable and did their job well at the time then it's likely they will be asked back on the team, but if we feel there is someone much more qualified than a previous OGV then they will be chosen. We are after the most efficient, trustworthy, and qualified group of individuals.
