What would you expect of the OGV team? For them to verify guides.

Who would you like to see in the OGV team? Just moderators, Mods+Trusted Users? Mods and knowledgeable users

Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide) No, not at all it is useless because I don't trust a member with 3 posts who post a review.

Should we keep the old OGV members or re-introduce applications for everyone to re-try? New applications to be fair to everyone, as someone suggested a perpetually open application process like an OMM or back like the UEs.

I would personally like a chance at getting this, so I am not going to BS here. haha

I had no objections to the previous system, so long as the Trusted Users were thoroughly background checked.

I think it's good as a supplementary, but, as a stand-alone system, no.

Reapply. The point of having applications is to choose the most suitable candidates. If past successful applicants are indeed the most suitable, they will be accepted again.

Yes, the ability for anyone to post a review of the guide should they have read it should be granted to all. As stated before, the review system itself is good, but only as a supplement.

The last OGV team was actually pretty good and on top of things. I know that might be biased since I was on it, but I think we all did a good job and the return of OGV won't cause any harm.

 

Don't understand how it could cause any issues.

I think Mods + trusted users would be a fine system, just as OMM is quite a good step of being recognized by the community and possibly leading to a chance to join staff, this could serve as the same.

No, I don't think users, yet alone untrusted ones, should play a huge benefactor in whether someone makes money off their guides or not.

Also Karl, you are saying not to count our votes for bias, which I completely understand, but the majority of the people saying re-applications is bias as well, because they want to apply.

I don't think that is a valid excuse really karl, considering that everyone who thought that they had a chance before or people that want to apply will be obviously biased as well. I see no reason to nullify any votes..

It works but it has its flaws, considering I have only been asked to review two guides with the new system and both of them ended up being ripped.

I'd love a OGV back tbh. It's much better to know that the guide you're buying is verified and working from a reliable source.

A mix of everyone tbh. Obviously it's nice to see mods but they're busy sooo....

Do you think the current system works (users being able to post a review on a guide) - Not at all, it's a load of rubbish because as soon as someone posts a paid guide, everyone jumps in saying they'll review it for a free copy. An OGV would nullify people asking for free copies because an impartial review would already be present from a reliable source.

I say this because it not only allows for new users to gain the OGV title, but also the old members. I mean, if they've done it before, they can do it again and everyone gets a chance this way.

Moderators, and trusted users both. Like others, i agree that the extra commitment might be a strain on staff- so let other trusted members have an opportunity to apply. Video for head OGV.

Of course? Constructive, and not so constructive criticism and feedback is always a clear indicator of what to buy, and what to avoid. The OGV team will further solidify this.

Im not familiar with the old OGV team, and i am not denying their incompetence- but i think it'd be fair to ask for a second wave team for this next generation.

Absolutely. Whos to say that users won't conflict with the OGV teams review? In my eyes, this team acts as a guideline, to weed out the good from the bad before they get all mixed in with eachother. Whether or not a user will be satisfied with a verified guide, well... thats up to them.

I honestly don't know. There really doesn't need to be more than 6-7 like there was beforehand. You would start to get saying what he said, etc 5 times on a thread.

 

In all honesty, a application system will probably be introduced regardless.
If a member who was on the team before was very capable and did their job well at the time then it's likely they will be asked back on the team, but if we feel there is someone much more qualified than a previous OGV then they will be chosen. We are after the most efficient, trustworthy, and qualified group of individuals.
