Obama Or Romney?

He didn't cause anyone to loose their job, it's no one but the employers fault. If your struggling, up product and reduce labor, it's simple.

 

You stated everything I had on my mind, plus more, SuF. I couldn't agree with you more. I believe Romney is nothing but full of lies, and a criminal. Also, the face that he doesn't believe in equal rights amongst sexual orientations is disgusting. The face that he's so stuck-up in believing that love can only be between a man and a woman sickens me. He's saying all of this shit about how he wants people to have the right to have options or "freedom" as I would like to call it; for example, his medicare plan - where you can either stick to the original medicare or his "voucher" system with insurance companies. Here he gives people an option to choose how to live their life, but can't do the same for marriage.

 

Romney doesn't seem to have good international relations either, that's something that the USA really needs right now. His tour of Europe was a disaster, all his remarks about the olympics didn't go down well over here.

He doesn't support gay marriage because, by definition, a marriage is a union by a man and a woman. He does support civil unions for gays. You are an idiot.

International relations? He wants to have a stronger foreign policy so that America doesn't get cheated or threatened and can become a stronger nation.

 

Bashing someones prime responses based on previous statements is a bit bias. You can't say that Obama, George, Clinton, etc, never said confrontational statements that one would find disrespectful and discouraging.

 

Marriage is only reserved for a man and woman if you follow Christian and related religions, and we should separate church and state.

 

No it isn't. Marriage is a legal union that grants certain benefits for people. It is A) illegal for the government to base its definition of marriage on religion B) illegal for the government to deny rights to be based on sex (which prohibiting me from marrying a guy is doing) and C) marriage has had its Christian definition changed about 9000 times already. The bible says I can marry multiple women and yet that's not legal. They also used the Bible to defend segregated marriage and that isn't illegal anymore.

 

Actually marriage is regulated by the states (but was defined by congress in an act as being between one man and one woman) though it is true that it would be illegal to deny certain rights based on sex according to the civil rights amendment. So technically defining marriage as solely between male and female would be unconstitutional because it denies certain civil rights. It would be like saying a black male and a white female couldn't marry. Marriage is a civil right and denying a civil right based on race, religion, sex, national creed would all be strictly unconstitutional.

Obama, because Romney is just a walking disaster, IMO.

Romney is indefinitely winning the votes of the middle class. He made Obama look terrible at the first debate scrutinizing his economic plans by exposing his economic failures, accusing Obama of failing to lead the country out of the deepest economic downturn since the Great Depression. While Obama implored Americans to be patient and argued that his policies needed more time to work, it has been four years with no change. It is evident that we need a change and Romney made that clear at the debate.

 

I don't like either.

 

Honestly, no matter who wins the election, we all lose and the big corporations who threw hundreds of millions to support their party will win.

 

Obama still pointed out something very incriminating of Romney which in my opinion was enough to not trust Romney. Which is the fact that Romney's lack of information in his released plans.

 

Did you even watch the debate? He forcefully engaged Obama throughout the night, while the president often looked down at his lectern and took notes. He was a caught child being interrogated by the principle. As stated by his own party, Obama left liberal supporters disappointed in his performance.

 

I did, and I didn't say the performance wasn't disappointing. But I'm not changing my opinion on Romney based on his performance in a debate.

 

How can you side with an individual who's promised his country numerous things and hasn't complied with any of them. As Romney stated, it has been four years without any of the changes Obama has promised.

 

Even though I'm sure that isn't exactly true, assuming it is it just means Obama may not be the best choice. However that doesn't by default make Romney an upstanding choice.

 

I don't see how this isn't anything I haven't said other than specificing that states regulate marriage.

Am I the only one that didn't watch the debate because it is pointless and meaningless?

1) Based on Gallup polling Obama has a 21 point lead for those who earn less than $36k a year. Romney has a lead of 1 point in the $36k-$90k. This is less than the polls margin of error so its basically a dead heat. Obama was up by 2 points in the previous cycle of polls and the one before that they were tied at 47% each. Romney is most certainly not winning the middle class.

2) Romney lied constantly throughout the debate. Who "won" or "lost" is meaningless. All it means is who looked better but that has nothing to do with the issues and only the ignorant let themselves be swayed by the debates. Romney flip flopped in the debate as well (Obama care is awful!!!!! Romney care rocks!!!!).

3) Obama has added more than 4 million jobs (which I'm fairly sure is more than Bush). He also took over when the economy was losing something like 700,000 jobs a month. Now we are gaining 100,000 - 200,000 a month and unemployment just dropped to its lowest level since Obama took office. You can't turn the economy around overnight especially when congress refuses to do anything and gets our credit downgraded for it. And there has been change. Obama-care. The Consumer Protections Bureau. Ending the Iraq war. Giving deferred action to certain illegal immigrants that have lived their entire lives here (brought as small children). He's also tried to get infrastructure funding passed and the House GOP won't let it happen (even though the Senate GOP supported it).

4) When the Republicans said that making Obama a one term president was their TOP (above all else) priority, it is hard to get anything done. The GOP doesn't give a shit about the country. All they care about is getting rid of Obama and they have done all in their power to prevent everything he wanted so that they had a chance at defeating him.

I do think thats a rather good number for four years and having to elaborate with the other parties.

So do not say he has not complied with any of his promisses, cause 38% is quite a good start in four years.
