I have no idea how you can talk Simeon/berson4 (What ever it fucking is), you don't even deserve the User Educator rank (unless we are somehow educating people on how to be dim-witted).

Just because you didn't see it, doesn't mean it hadn't happened..

And exactly, it doesn't belong to me, that's WHY I make all these threads -.-.

Your an idiot. Deacon is trying to HELP user education as a whole, i don't see you doing ANYTHING EVER. Shut the hell up and if you think like that you SHOULD NOT be a User Educator.

    1. Give me a reason why you should have colored names?
    2. Give me a reason why you should be concerned with community issues in the staff lounge?
    3. Give me a reason why you should be able to search for IP's in the modcp.

    Me answering those questions:
    1. Me having a colored name means that if something's happening, a keylogger spread e.t.c, people know who to contact, and can easily find me to contact me.
    2. a) I need to be able to see what's going on so I know how to handle peoples bans, infractions e.t.c. and how to mod the forum.
    b) I need to be able to access the ban and going away threads.
    3. I ban multiple users every day, I need to do a background check.

I say this in no offence to you. The only people you handle is the applications, and i don't think you'll need to check ip's or ban for that. The small amounts that acutally occures in there you can contact a global. What would happend if I would have to contact a global everytime I needed something done?
    We simply have different tasks...
You got this assignment to educate, not to ban and clean the forum as we mods do.

Most of the time asking for something to be done is a sin. I remember hearing about a leaked guide, and I asked SMR yesterday to ban him, and someone FINALLY did it, after like 2 weeks =/.

Point is, 1) I get asked shit tons of questions about applications, etc... people do bug (I don't mind) but I've also had people tell me they didn't know I was online, so they just posted a thread. 2) Why not? That's my point, that's why User Education gets no respect, because people don't feel they deserve it. It's not just the users that destroy us, it's some of you staff too. 3) Because there's QUITE a few multi's in User Education, and I'd rather not continuously bug.

Just because you don't know what I do, doesn't mean I don't do it.

err.. what the fuck has this got to do with me being a user educator?

maybe say what part of what i said makes you add like a moron?

also boom. i can say likewise. what you do not know is while i do not support these threads, i help out many a sythe member, and have ALOT of people add me asking for all sorts of things..

secondly, if this is being done for UE... who requested it.

Yes of course Deacon is trying to help <<(Now stfu cos i mentioned this..), but trust me.. he has meddled with alot of things, causing alot of things that nobody wanted to happen..

and like shin said.. none of the staff make these threads, and they put more of an effort in than any user ed

Completely agree with you. Honestly Deacon, I don't know how you can say you learned "tons of useful things" reading through the user education forums unless you're mentally retarded or have some issue learning on your own. The only tutorials that are a slight bit helpful are the programming ones, and last time I checked there are hardly any of those - 4 total in the java section and only 5 in the delphi section, not a lot of tutorials compared to the 96 or so in the general section? Also, i've noticed a lot of people using incorrect terminology when talking about tech related stuff, which makes readers think that the author has no idea what he or she is talking about. Basically, If you want respect, you better EARN IT, and write better tutorials that don't involve stuff that anyone with a working brain can figure out, or you'll keep getting flamed, and as of now I think you deserve it. -_-

    Some examples of idiocy:
http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=252273 <Install sythe's irc server? I don't think this guide has to do with setting up an ircd. All this guy would have had to do is say, "install an irc client, type /server irc.sythe.org, and begin chatting. (Type /nick yournamehere if you need to change your name)"

http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=186955 <Oh come on, are you really too lazy to type in www.websitename.com? -_- If you need to find a website, use google for god sakes, and stop being so damn lazy. (if you don't know what google is, I can't help you there...seek therapy)

http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=214061 <Is a guide really needed for this? "Search google for free dvd ripping software, download, install, follow the help files if you need help." Anyone can figure that one out without a guide.

There are lots more too, just to give you some examples.

You think all user edd app's aren't useful?
My "How not to get keylogged/remove keyloggers" guide is a sticky and many people have said it helped them. It also was used in my app!

I did not say all of them are not useful, but I do think the vast majority are brainless. Yours was good on the other hand, I agree. And I probably shouldn't have said just programming, but that is where I found most of the stuff that I use.

Yeah. That's what should be happening IMO, because what I meant to get across in my post is that people just take the rank then write a bunch of crappy tutorials.. make it harder to get in, remove the people who are morons, and you'll have some decent guides.

Also, being an user edd isn't all about making guides. It's also about helping people in the help/tech support forums (which i tend to do alot).
