STARS JUST GOT BISHOP OMFG.

Still need to officially sign him to a deal but I think that will happen. Got the cap space to make it shake.

Basically got Ben Bishop for Jordie Benn. Traded him for that pick that we got Bishop rights with. Jim Nill is a goddamn wizard. Even if it doesn't work out this is a good measured risk.

I think chances are very good we lock him up.

Hurricanes basically did same move for Scott Darling and he signed a week later, so I'm pretty confident. Hitchcock and Ben Bishop and the 3rd pick in the draft...starting to party like it's 1999 in Frisco.

The reports are saying Bishop preferred the move to Dallas, which really makes a deal pretty much imminent.

 

I have no doubt he'll sign. Huge addition to the Stars. Covers a big hole

There's something magical about that team I swear. It kinda reminds me 2 years ago I think, where they were simply dominating everything for the last step of the season, then they would make the playoffs. Same thing happening here, except they're already in the playoffs. Once you go out there and start winning and winning, there's that strong family feeling that starts growing inside the team and, in a way, makes them feel invicible. I do believe they can pull this one off and reach the finals, but hell pens are literally a war machine.

I'm personally a habs fan, so after they lost against the rangers, I'm rooting for the preds. Always loved them, then add the Subban-Weber trade in there and I have no choice to cheer for them. It helped PK so much as he isnt anymore the 1st d-man of the team so that's really helping him dealing with the pressure. But all around the predators should also reach the finals (goes well with your prediction).

But we'll see, only time can say
