I am not acting like everyone who doesn't like it is insane I am just asking for a more valid reason then "it will bring annoying people". I am aware of the legal issues that it may present that is a valid reason. But "annoying people" is not a valid reason.

 

Felt like adding to my previous opinion.

If you can make a bot, would you make it for Sythe and put in possibly a 3 digit number of hours and make nothing out of it? Sythe can't charge for the bot, not at first until it becomes one of the better bots, or at least better scripts. Then there will be the issue of accounts hacked, whoever would make the client, will most likely not be known or trusted in this community. I doubt anyone on Sythe that I'd trust enough has enough time to put into a project like this.

I know Dialatic and Blupig gave a shot on making their own clients, I don't remember their progress, but it hasn't gotten far enough. It would be a long shot to get people to download a new program and register on a blackmarket to be able to use it.

I'm giving the cons and the worse possible outcomes in case someone could find a way around it.

 

I will talk to blupig about the client next time I see him, right now I am seeing the client at a better option and your right it may get no response at all or it may get some. I will see how far he is on it or if he is still working on it.

 

I have something a lot simpler in mind that will most certainly draw thousands of daily users. If anyone is interested in discussing that idea with me, I'm up for it.

My idea is also replicating something that is available elsewhere, but it involves improving it in a way that isn't currently available for 07 (but was in the past, pre-EOC). Just about EVERYONE playing 07 needs this service and has been asking for it, and to my knowledge, it doesn't exist in the variation that I am thinking it should exist.

No, it isn't something that we can make money off, but it IS something that will draw tremendous traffic, and quickly.

 

I have a few private WC/Mining bots for '07, but they're simba not injection. I could help create a few basic mining/wc bots, gathering IDs for trees isn't that difficult

Those saying Jagex can't touch bot websites are wrong. Rsbots.net brothers lost their $1,200,000? house to Jagex and did like a month in jail?

 

Wasn't that because they used the name RS so therefore it was breaking their terms of service? Just by having i bought you aren't agree to tos because your not actually playing the game your just making the bot?

 

You'd have to make players agree to the TOS that they are not bound to jagex TOS and have never and will never play the game and are not an employee of jagex and have never worked for jagex etc.

 

I think that part of the problem with injection / reflection bots is that they circumvent protective measures in Jagex's code, which supposedly violates the DMCA. It's not just a ToS thing.

 

You do understand tribot is colour-bot which is not illegal? Www.realitybot.org on the other hand that is soon releasing, we wouldn't any trouble affiliating with www.sythe.org but injection-based are deffinitely illegal because you are going into the code. I know this isnt exact but if you want you can talk to the developer of realitybot, it's releasing in6 days.

 

I don't want to throw out my suggestion because it is something that's probably EXTREMELY easy to code for someone with experience, and I would obviously like some credit if it were to be implemented. Therefore if you're a good programmer with free time I will discuss it with you, not just going to discuss it with everyone to have someone else steal it and take all the credit!

As far as the bot option, for anyone still claiming that IS an option, you just don't understand the legal implications.

It's a good idea, but with bots out there already that are 80% free like powerbot I doubt you're going to get much business. It would be nice to have something else linked with Sythe though except just a black market forum.

I support this idea 110%, I'd love to see a bot come from this community as most other bot communities I am not familiar with. I would donate to the cause, [as long as there are some proBot features or something], I think it'd be pretty interesting to see an AIO bot, a bot that can access+bot on both EOC and 07, like have two separate sections in the bot script list, one for eoc, one for 07, it'd be great! Especially if we could run both at the same time, botting EOC and 07 on one bot, sounds great to me x).
