My Marine Career

I'm officially going to be an Aviation Mechanic .... I'll be working on Jets, Helicopters, anything with wings and i'll be working on it! Hell Yeah!

I've worked on cars all my life, and now i have the chance to work on the Helicopters, Jets, and everything with wings not only was it interesting, but you make good money doing it along with free housing, and more benefits. I made a good decision for me & my family.

 

Free housing? Win. Jw, how does your family feel about you using sythe? Also when you fix up a jet, helicopter etc., where does it go? Like to commercial airlines, private use or like the airforce

 

Did you happen to get your A+P's yet? Congrats btw hope you do well. Im gonna be getting my A+P's right after i graduate highschool since i go to a cte school which teaches us in aviation maintenance. Nice to see someone in the same field

 

Hey man. Im in the army and my twin brother is in the same mos (hes in the marines)- well a similar mos as what you will be in. Just lettin you know, your recruiter may have told you that but its not certain what you will be doing exactly.
you wil probably be going to pensacola, where all aviation for marines/navy go as far as i know.
Then depending on what is open you will be there for a few months and you will study the general idea of what you will be doing, and then the corp will refine it down, without you really getting a say.
So it can change within that field of what you will be doing.

dont let your parents decide anything for you. Personally, the best branch to join is the air force. they treat you the best and when you do tdy (go somewhere for training or w/e) you get paid a ton of money sometimes cause of "standard of living" idk exactly what its called in airforce.

Nothin against marines, and this will probably get me spammed with hate, but the marines are not the way to go. niether is the army (which im in). Unless you are going to do something technical or something bad ass like recon, marsoc, rangers or sf.

Airforce is the way to go simply cause you get treated a hell of a lot better

 

congratulations soldier I'm starting soon at DSG will be doing something similar but more electrical side and more land based fleets for the UK armed forces.

I can't tell you how happy I was when I realized Germany was abolishing its draft this year (the year I would have been drafted).
I can't imagine volunteering for the military. :/

Nice! I'm currently working out to be a Navy Seal.
