Its not a question of why, choosing to become in the armed forces especially something as tuff as the Marines, you got want it more than anything else, you got to clear your mind from all negative thoughts and fear otherwise you won't survive.

I myself have proudly served and continue still today in one of the most rewarding purposes life has provided. I will simply leave you the words of someone who thought great of your choice.

Good luck bro, I'm also joining the Marines once I graduate HS. Uncle of mine was in desert storm and in the current two wars, guy is tough as nails with 20+ years in service...

It's an amazing career choice that is sure to be character if you let it. Of course there are knuckleheads but what can you do . Stay safe and good luck!
