Is facebook addictive?

I recently made a facebook & am continually feeling compelled to go on it.
It's very weird.

 

No..? When I made one, it was because my friend invited me to it. I signed up, and was pretty cool that I found some people from school that had facebook, but it wasn't addictive.

Then again, I didn't add anything to spiffy my profile, and I usually keep contact with my friends via MSN.

 

i find myself checking atleast once a day

 

Yeh, i was highly addicted along with a mate, we're currently putting money on who posts first.

i had recently made a facebook, but then i had to go cut myself after i realized i was a complete faggot for doing so

and that's the day i lost the will to live

 

Not addictive to me...i made one went on it 1nce or 2wice then decided it was not worth my time and deleted it...

 

Hell no, I go on to check stuff out for around 2 minutes each day, and I also go on facebook IM once in a while to talk to friends that don't use msn.

 

Yea, when your whole school and other schools around you have Facebook it's very much addictive. First thing I get on when I get on the computer, just a great way to communicate with friends and socialize.

I wouldn't say it's that addictive. I check it every so often, but you kind of need some self control to not be addicted

Ok, so far from all these comments, I can conclude that there are three groups..
:
People who are admittedly addicted to facebook.
People who are addicted to facebook but deny it.
People who hate facebook / don't have facebook.

Not for me :s. I used to be addicted to Myspace back when it was more popular in like 05-07 but I'm kind of burned out on social networking sites. Facebook is cool, but I can't get into these kind of websites anymore. I have one since people use it more than myspace now it seems but I only log on once a day and I rarely post anything.

 

I like how it doesn't cause drama like myspace, and I feel it's more for a more mature crowd. Notifications make things somewhat addicting too.

So overall it's not "addicting" perse, but it's definitely intriguing.

I've had mines for 5 years. I was one of the first in my school to get it. I use it everyday to check updates, comment some pictures and for laughs. It's not addictive but i don't know what i'd do without it.

I would say though FUCK farmville and every other game like it. I never played any of them and never will.
