waste of money imho i dont use dem social sites for socializing, if anything the only good thing they are is asking a homie for his number when you lose it. about it.

Well in NYC we don't use Whatsapp and I rarely see it on a phone. But I don't think it was worth it tbh because theres many things opening up that kids use like KIK

 

Not the case where I live, i'm afraid.

Also; it seems to be very popular in Manchester, UK, I used to be the type of person who accepted every friend request, i'm now on 3,000 friends, I'd say 75% are UK & I probably have atleast 1k of them from Manchester despite never meeting over half of them, it's like a big ring though, friends of friends, more friends of friends are all now linked up in manchester and everybody knows everybody, it's crazy.

 

I don't think he will make the app cost more money than it does now. It would only infuriate people, and users knowing Facebook owns the app would not make them go back to facebook, only protest it.

It's (facebook) still popular with people I know & my age group.

That being said, Whatsapp is also very popular - but is there really any need for it? The majority of phone contracts include unlimited free SMS anyway.

I did read recently however, that Whatsapp will include VOIP. That's a win.

 

Whatsapp mainly to text message other people around the world. I have contacts over in asia, singapore, aus and they all use whatsapp to communicate.

whatsapp was never free in the first place. it cost about $1 a year to use it

I still and many other people use FB but lean towards using instagram. IG is stupid tbh

 

seems like a bitch much. windows purchased 2 larger companies than this one for under the amount facebook purchased this app.

skype at 8.5, and nokia at 7b.

maybe it's profitable in the long-run. flappy birds was making 50k a day off ads when it was up. this app has 450m monthly users, 70% of them active on the daily, so they must of it did it for a reason.

 

Here in spain nobody uses facebook, or at least everybody who I know, they use twitter and instagram, and obviously Whatsapp.
