Internet Connection Help

I just recently got a couple of viruses and then deleted them but had to reinstall my operating system. So i have it all installed now and i have no internet connection anymore!

In the control pannel under internet connections there is nothing its just an empty folder and when i try and create a connection it does not do anything either.

I have a linksys router and it is connected from my moms computer to my bedroom using an ethernet cable.

Any help would be appretiated.

Do you have your drivers installed?

make a new one through set up wizard make it a local area network
