    How to quit my job?

as title says. Not too sure how to do it. I want to give 2 weeks, but idk how much longer I can ask

I'm 20 and these 15 year olds make .25 more than me an hour (I make 7.25 lol) and have been there for over a year now and I think I am just super underaprrchiated and I do all of the work and when I work with this guy who gets paid $9/hr, I'm stuck doing everything and stocking while he is talking to people, or doing something that doesn't need to be done to avoid work, and I am just tired of it.

Tired of getting paid shit money to be there at the times they need me most (Wednesday morning stock days and I'm the only one who can make it to work Wednesday morning because everyone else is in high school).

I can complain more, but I think you guys get the idea..

    I'll edit if needed

    Any ideas?

    How to quit my job?

    Hey buddy,

So I'm not exactly sure in what field of work you're in, but there is usually always solutions to problems in the labor market.

First of all you have to ask yourself if you're happy with what you're doing right now. That's the most important thing and it will always be. If you are, initiate steps in order for you to talk to your superior about the situation you just shared with us and justify yourself. Explain why you feel that way and tell him/her that you deserve better. I see you stated above you've been working at that place for 1 year and I would personally use this argument as a sign of loyalty and that will help to solidify your point for a potential raise. If your superior isn't open in hearing such things, then go higher with human ressources (if there's any at your place).

That's assuming you love your job and want to keep working there.

If you don't, well I would move forward and start looking for another job. Just give your resignation and respect the two weeks deadline. That two weeks might be the longest timelapse you've ever experienced, but at the end of the day, it will be worth it as you will have your old job on your side and your ex superior will vouch for you if your future boss asks for a reference. Leaving a job without any notice is probably one of the worst thing to do, especially if you put it in your cv as a reference.

Best of luck in your future endeavors.

Put in two weeks notice after you find a new job. Walmart/Home Depot/Target is hiring seasonals atm. Make sure your notice has a very polite and thankful letter because you never know who you might need as a reference for your next job.

Communication is key speak to your boss and tell them you need a pay raise to carry on otherwise you will have to take another job you have been offered.

If they know your worth they will do it if not get a new job!

Do not burn your bridges never know if you ever have to go back!

    How to quit my job?

Listen i was in the exact same situation as you.
and i seriously couldn't even considering lasting another 2 weeks at that employment.

You are 20 years old. You are still young, This low end job isn't going to be your forever income. Leaving without putting your 2 weeks in wouldn't harm you one bit. However it just kinda looks better on you. The way i see it is.

Do they give you a 2 weeks notice upon Firing/getting laid off?
    NO they don't.

Now if you are using one of the managers/staff for a reference then sure maybe you should consider putting in the 2 weeks.

Give this a read You do not have to give your employer 2 weeks notice. • r/personalfinance
Hope this helps man. Just remember this isn;t going to be your forever job.

Just tell them you quit! You are still young, there are many other jobs out there that pay more as well. If you are going to college, then maybe the job will suffice, otherwise look into construction or higher paying jobs somewhere else.

    How to quit my job?

The first job I had was at 17 years making $6.55 an hour, pushing carts throughout the cold winter. I quit because of some yadrama and it was the best thing ever. Save 10% and start investing it is my best advice, I can't tell you what to invest in or how to do it, but look into out-investing these clucks who for some reason make more than you.

Sorry for chasing Wisco on this thread, the dude is just ehh

    How to quit my job?

How I played my last shitty job was I waited until I got offered a new job first, then handed in my 2 weeks notice along with a 2 week holiday request with my remaining holidays for the year and left that day.

Yeah secure a job first or use another job as leverage to raise your income.

    How to quit my job?

This. If you can get another job, that makes life extremely easy for you, if not you can use some leverage saying you found another job and will be quitting if your pay does not match or better those around you working the same, and due to your experience tell them you should be making a bit more.
