Agree with this. But you could always disconnect your internet if you dont use it for other things.

 

To quit, you have to really want to. I suggest recording a list of all the positives and all the negatives of gaming, in your situation I would presume the negatives outweigh the positives. Place/pin up this list in an easily view able place and every time you feel like gaming take a look at it and remember why you're giving up. Good luck.

 

While I havent quit gaming altogether I have sworn off mmos and rs all together. My life improved dramatically, my confidence and work preformance went through the roof.

If you wanna quit you have to be 100% truly dedicated to quit. No exceptions. Sell all your gold, drop all your shit and change your password and vice versa to random digits. If you want to quit then that's how you'll have to do it. No turning back and clean and simple. GL!

Cut down on your time, find a small friend group.

I personally go to the gym/play sports with them and it eats up a lot of my time. I come home and play for like an hour vs the 10+ i was playing during the summer. I mean, gaming isn't too bad, I had a friend over for like a week straight haha. Friends came and left throughout the week too. Gaming is a social event if you want it to be that way. Just don't RWT or buy too many games and it shouldn't be a problem at all.

 

i know its super hard to quit console, ive spent over 3k+ on my first account and atleast 5K+ on my second. it aint easy. just try to get rid of a portion of your games and play only like 1 or 2 games, then you wont be tempted to play a finished game.

No but seriously OP, find a romantic interest, or even ask a girl out. She will take up most of your time.

Also, find a small group of friends that you can do things with over the weekend. Slowly peeter off of video games, don't try to just suddenly stop, it won't work.

 

Destroy your consoles. Literally, annihilate them. If you don't have anything to play you can't play anymore. Simple as that

Easier method to not cost you money: Get friends and/or a girlfriend.

 

All you need to do is find something that gives you as much passion as the game you play. Try not playing it for a couple days and TRY OUT new things, make new friends, etc.

 

Getting a girlfriend will no doubt, 100%, keep you away from games.

 

you can't quit gaming. just regulate yourself man, gotta have self control.

 

Use less time infront of the computer, and if you have to, check youtube, and if you really want to look at games, look at people playing them.

 

Find a new hobby! That's the best way to do it. I remember I used to spend tons on Runescape and I picked up basketball and weightlifting and began to find myself playing less and feeling better about myself.

Sell all tradables on any game you have. Make the most money out of it as you can. Sell your console, sell your accounts, etc. Then find a new hobby that substitutes for it.

 

I quit when I realized girls are more important. Seriously, I got in the gym and aimed for aesthetics to get girls, it worked and I quit the shitty game.

 

You never quit, i always try, but it's unbelievably hard, just try to do other tasks much more often and try to limit the time you're gaming.

 

I say stick with gaming. It's a good outlet of stress and other feelings.

 

Simple my man. Sell your Runescape gold + accounts, and sell your xbox. Save that money or take up a better hobby, maybe buy workout equipment off the internet cheap, take up a sport etc
Don't work out to get girls, work out for your own well being and to boost your self esteem.
