Alright guys. So, I'm going out with this girl I met a couple of weeks ago for the third time. Last time we were going out we had some really awkward silences; it was so annoying.. Any idea on how to avoid this? She is more the 'talking type' of girl, while I just like to listen. Thing is, I have no idea with what to respond ;s. She likes going out alot but I rarely do go out (not that I'm a loner, I just don't get the big fuss about it :p), so that's hardly a topic to discuss.

I'm so nervous right now! I really like her and I don't want to fuck up.. Please give me some tips on how to fill those awkward moments. :(

3rd date and you have ran out of things to say, not such a good thing so far. Well since you like to listen you could ask her about some things she likes, and what she has done with her life, also what she plans to do. Normally females, not all, can go on for hours about that sort of thing. If she asks you a question don't be afraid to go into detail on why you think/feel a certain way about it.

Start asking her questions about anything. Ask her questions like 'What are your hobbies?', 'What annoys you the most?', 'When was the last time you were extremely happened, and what made you that happy?' etc. Be creative and don't bore her too much. When she's also done answering your questions, you can tell her to ask you about anything.

Good luck; keep us updated!

To add something new to what's already been suggested, share some music interests with her; if you guys have similar tastes, that's a BIG plus.

Say whatever comes to mind, even if it doesn't make sense and stupid :P Usually topics like that can lead to even bigger subjects, might even lead to too much which is a good thing :D

Do what Nick Swardson the comedian does, say "party". Lol, but really just talk about anything. Ask about her life, her history, her siblings, her parents, her favorite things, her least favorite things, how her day is going, her future plans, anything to get her talking.

You don't have to say much back, just keep asking questions until you get to know everything about her. Don't shy away about talking about yourself though, she obviously likes you and wants to know about you!
Learn some random facts too, like when neither of you are talking say something like, "You know there are no clocks in any of the casinos in las vegas?" which is an actual fact, feel free to use it;p lol

Just relax and be yourself. If she doesn't like you for who you are, then it's not going to work out anyway. I used to be really shy around girls, but then after a lot of time it became easier. Sometimes a great way to break an awkward silence is to acknowledge it (only do this if you guys joke around a bit). Just make sure nothing seems forced. The worst thing is to go into a conversation with a formula of how to talk, that's just not how it works.

good luck :)

Just a tip: ask a lot of questions about the kinds of things she likes, her interests, her family, her aspirations in life, etc.

Girls love to talk, this one especially by the sounds of it. If you are more of a listening type and have a hard time thinking of things to say, just ask questions and it will allow her to do most of the talking. Girls LOVE talking about themselves.

Another thing you can do is tell stories from your own life, although it sounds like you may be slightly uncomfortable with that. But when I am on a date or first meeting a girl, I try and tell funny stories that relate to the conversation we are having and it usually breaks the ice pretty good by getting them laughing and loosened up. Try it :)

Think ya need to try and relax, also don't think too much about it. Conversation should flow naturally, but the best thing to do in an awkward silence is just to ask a question - a simple question can lead to hours and hours of conversation. Keep it cool and don't let her know that you are nervous. If you're nervous, then she'll probably be a bit nervous too... so ease up, relax, even have a drink (don't get drunk... it's just to relax yourself) before seeing her.
