Homosexuality a choice?

Your friend is a pig and blatantly incorrect. Gay guys are in it for the sex in the same way that straight guys are. Some of them have no sentimental values and other do. Most guys like the idea of settling down whereas some want to move woman to woman for the rest of their lives. Gay guys are no different.

 

I am positive its not a choice why would homosexuals go through all this just to like guys if it was their choice. They were born that way that is who they are.

 

I believe that it isn't a choice and homosexuals were born with that certain condition. I wouldn't call it being handicap but there is no doubt that something like that is natural per se. Example being how two males cannot reproduce offspring.

 

i think its a choice, i don't think you can be born gay. you guys talk like it would be impossible to stop being gay. it would be changing who you are, and your way of life, and people do that all the time. honestly if somebody hated being gay i don't think it would be hard not to.

 

Being gay does not mean participating in homosexual behaviors. It means being attracted to people of the same sex (or not I don't really know). Its easy to control your desires but very difficult if not impossible to change them.

 

I voted no. I have homosexual feelings for people, yet I'd quickly kill myself before I came out of the closet.

It's all about sexual attraction, it can absolutely be faked but I will never just believe that it is a personal choice to become homosexual..

 

I don't think it's a choice, whoever said you can be influenced was completely right. Although I do think you need to take denial into consideration; a gay person may not want to be gay so will attempt to change their mentality and oppose their homosexuality.

 

I guess that's whats going to happen when you ask the majority who are straight. Hence the "I think" instead of "I know".

 

Seriously dude, put some things in perspective. Would it be easy for you to stop being straight? To stop having interests in women, and only be sexually attracted to men? Could you live the rest of your life happily knowing that the only person you could love was a man? It's not a choice.

I say it's a choice. You CHOOSE to date and be with the opposite sex regardless. The attraction would still be there but acting on it is different.

 

People are confused about the word homosexual.

Homosexual means you are attracted to the same sex.

Homosexual activity however is when you engage in sexual conduct with the same sex.

The 2 get muddled up a lot, just putting it out there.

 

I didn't think people would choose to be ridiculed. Maybe a non conformist attention whore, but they're just lying to themselves.

The answer is highly speculative therefore there is no definite answer to the question. But my opinion is that it is a choice, and not a congenital endemic.

 

Are you joking? How is it highly speculative? There are millions of gay people on the planet that can attest to the fact that they're naturally like that. Are you suggesting that every gay person on the planet is clinging to the same false story while secretly choosing to be gay?
