Higher post count ranks

Couldn't find it on the DNS.

^That's the closest thing, and it's not what I'm asking.


I believe that the post count ranks are ancient, and were set up way back when. In current Sythe, many many users are reaching higher ranks and top off at Grand Master.

I think that there should be another one at 3,___ or higher, and another one around 7,___.
I'm not one for thinking of the titles, I just like having something to achieve for. I still post just as much, but it just sucks being maxed.

Another point that was arisen is the difficulty to implement this suggestion. It's really not hard, it would take a few minutes.

The general feeling is that a 5k would work, but a 10k is probably not necessary.

Most people are mods, banned, or custom by 5-10k, but it's still nice to have it out there for ex-mods, non-donors, etc.

 

No, this is pointless. If you want any different user titles you can simply just donate $50 and get your own. There is no need to have higher titles, I think your the only Grandmster to have complained about this. If you need "something to achieve for" as you said, just use x amount of posts as your goal. It is simply a waste of time to add a new posting rank when you can request your own if you donate.

No support, it is essentially pointless and doesn't benefit anything. A big majority of grand masters already have the donation level so they can change their title.

This should be on the DNS list to be honest.

 

By your logic, all of the post count ranks are pointless and we should just remove them.

I wouldnt see the harm in one more new addition at 5k.

 

I wouldn't be averse to this kind of a suggestion, though I do agree that it is petty and pretty useless.

 

5k and 10k are probably the most probable, and like gurt mentioned earlier, most people have custom usertitles by the time they reach Grand Master anyways.

And I think ex-mods get a customer usertitle as well even when they retire.

 

Support. I think it gives someone a new achievement on sythe... rather than just saying, "im going for 5K posts..." you can say," im going for the '____' rank!"

I should have rephrased that, after Grand Master I see no point in any more titles after 2k. Everything needs a cap and I see 2k as a suitable cap. Like I said before if it bothers you so much that you are not getting any titles after 2k donate $50, and get your own. If that doesn't do it for you create your own system and think to yourself when I reach x posts I will change my UT. Alternatively you could just ignore it altogether and just consider achievement when you reach x posts. You can't really deny that this suggestion is pointless.

I already did donate to get my own. I'm not making the suggestion for myself. ^That's much more complicated and work than just adding "Legend" or w/e at 5k posts.

 

Gives you something to shoot for eh I'm it support for one at 5k too, as long as people don't edit post counts in order to get it.

 

Makes sense IMO, before there wasn't much need as most had a UT by then but I think as the community gets bigger this is less true. No harm in making one at like 5k+ or something, support this shit yo
