alot better than nothing but paypal is never 100% safe man... When your in the Virtual Goods business, theres alot of risks. A Chargeback can come at any time and they will mostly win. For the vid, its good proof but you will need to provide either way the traders information and thats why i posted this thread.

 

Why don't you guys just open up a Player Auctions store if you've got access to a PP or whatever website it is where you can't chargeback.

 

I think Playerauctions has a big fee so most people prefer to use paypal sending to friends/family when the fee is only like $0.05 :s

 

People think sending as a gift will garantee no chargeback... Its funny cause its 100% false and they can chargeback even with a gift and have high chances winning.


Also, i agree PA have high fees. But also, PA requires alot of informations that alot of people here cant have because they are not 18 years old or something so yea.

 

This just helps the scammers...
Got scammed like this for 320$ and 180$.

This doesn't really help with chargebacks.

They are directly related with their CC company - NOT PAYPAL.

Pretty much a chargeback is an "unauthorized payment", meaning you believe someone had access to your credit card.

Unauthorized payment is when you think someone got on your PP account and purchased something with your credit card. When hes emailing using his PP email + all other infos.. its obviously HIM and not somebody else. Howerver, theres other types of chargebacks where this method is working better.

Can help with certain types of chargebacks, although unauthorized you will always get destroyed.

So are you saying to have them fill out forms (similar to yours) and send them to your Skype, PayPal email, & on Sythe?

Also, what do you recommend them send the payment as? Should they send it as good/services or family/friends, because I had a PayPal limited one time after I received too many payments from 'family/friends.' They said I shouldn't had been receiving payments like that since I was in-fact selling a product, which was virtual goods at the time.

I'm very leery as to whether or not I want to sell gold via PayPal, but it seems like people have been finding ways to make it more safe on the seller's end to where they can accept this payment method.

I do know that one way the big seller's prevent 'unauthorized chargebacks' from occurring is by matching up IP's through your I.P. on their website and sending it to PayPal if they try to say otherwise. It seems like the online MMORPG community has came a long way with PayPal and are finding better methods to prevent chargebacks, which is great.

They fill out the forms using their skype, their paypal email and their sythe profile. Them using their paypal email is very important because if not, the sythe and skype proofs do not exist. They will send that to your paypal email, your profile on sythe and finally, your skype. As for the payment method, always do good and services. If you do family/friends, theres no proof to provide PP because it was a gift from him. Finally concerning the ip address, yes they will know the IP address when the buyer will email to u using their paypal email because it will show the skype id and with that, u can easily find the IP that they use with that skype. By comparing the ip, they will know its good. However, dont tell urself that its all safe, unauthorized payment are very hard to win but this is a way that could maybe protect you from a chargeback. Theres always a risk but its alot better than no proofs.

Here's a method i found useful dealing via paypal

Send an invoice to the person buying something via paypal

Prior to the trade quickly create a terms and condition stating that they have received the virtual goods and by agreeing to pay for this invoice they are agreeing to the terms of condition that they're not going to charge back.

If that helps anyways. If not try calling paypal and tell them of all your previous transactions and how they were all successful and how this is your first time a customer is attempting to scam

 

Even if you call paypal, they cant do anything without proofs and PP's customer service isnt good :/
