I think you need to change the title of this thread to [How to get a better chance at winning chargebacks from people]

 

I must say that this is a pretty crappy guide. I didn't even bother reading it because the layout was so awful. Put the text that you want people to copy in a quote. Throw a title up at the top and play around with some text formatting. Make it clear what you need to read and what is simply an example or something to copy and paste.

We did that one time and they told us that they cant do anything and we have to go to court to win the chargeback. They accepted the chargeback right away...

Or you could send them something in the post as recorded delivery. And there you have it they have signed for the goods.

But then they can still bitch and complain saying nothing was in the packet.

Yeah those disputes are hard to win too, friend of mine lost a pair of drebeats that he sold on eBay because the buyer claimed he received something else

got to say, I sold some virtual's on ebay and the guy had genuinley been hacked and it was a fraudulent payment, he got his money back in no time. the only thing that kept me from getting pissed was it genuinely was unauthorised. just shows though it's so easily doable.

 

There's always going to be a risk selling via Paypal unless they make it unchargebackable which i highly doubt.

Paypal will always keep the chargeback part unless they introduce 2 factor auth, and make it mandatory.

Following this guide won't really help with chargebacks, while yes it may be completely honest with the information you provide to paypal the current chargeback department at paypal doesn't see it like that. You have to have proof.

Simply having an email stating that the payment was legitimate and completed at the time of purchase won't suffice for paypal.

 

For virtual goods where you cant really proove to PP you did it, it helps at least a little. (Obviously you have to provide the proofs of the trades and ... But this is just to tell PP the traders information)

As for the email, the person will send an email from their paypal email so they can confirm.

 

If I video record every transaction and also have confirmation afterwards is this this rnlugh to help secure a chargeback? I'm just trying to look into alternative methods etc to prevent losing money if I decide to take pp
