    Giving scammers a second chance.

    Scammers deserve an IP ban.

    Enough said.

It will then just give them more ammunition to scam, there should be zero tolerance on scamming, end of.

If someone scammed me, I wouldn't care its a sense of pride and accomplishment that the certain individual was hunger for and if they can only achieve this online, then they obviously need it more then I do. Maybe one day they'll look back and regret their mistakes and try to do better. Money can always be earned back, don't dwell over it.

If they give the money back, plus if they apologize, then okay.

Scammers should get one chance, they are not going to change.

What gives you the right to make this accusation? People come around from the most horrible addictions all the time, by your logic an alcoholic will always be a alcoholic, which in some cases he/she might always be but not everyone will cave in to addiction and will be able to move on to a brighter future. You live and you learn, everyone has the ability to change their ways.

But this is the internet, its hard to sort out the truth from the bull shit.

    1. Scammers are scammer, IP them, don't give them another chance. When people scam on the internet, they scam other peoples' belongings. Until that deed is fully refunded + compensation, i personally don't care if the rot.
    2. No, if a mod gave a second chance to some1 that scammed me, I'd be pissed off.
    3. I don't believe any scammers change. Scamming is a personality.. lazyness.
    4. Don't give those scumbags another chance.

ABSOULUTELY AGREE!! I definetly think they should be ip banned, but if your sythe account gets hacked and the person that hacks you scams a shit load of people, then i think the moderators/admins w/e know who was on by the ip.

Wrong. What a painfully erroneous statement. This seems to be the general theme played out in most people's responses, and I find it quite sad that you all let your emotions cloud your intellectual analysis.

Scamming isn't or will never be the same as a alcoholic. An alcoholic is damaging themselves, it affects people around them if the other people allow it to.

Scamming, is basically stealing. It's taking advantage of people on these forums. If you turn around and impliment a rule that states 'If you scam, you won't be banned but don't do it again' , scammer reads that a laughs, "right howmuch can i get out of my chance to scam then!" it's pure bullshit that anyone should give scammers there leeway, it's annoying me that it's even been considered. 'people can change' i'd rather not give the dirty little fucking idiots the chance to change, they can go fuck off and change somewhere else.

The entire sole purpose should be to eliminate scammers, not give them chances. If i were to be scammed of an account/cash i'd be furious to get them "banned" then the next day seeing them posting on the forums as if nothing even happened, then you'll get FLAME wars because people will be so pissed off with one another for scams etc.. This stupid idea shouldn't be implimented, i'm 100% against it.

EDIT: The people supporting this also, have probably NEVER experienced a scammer, going on to there account dropping absolutely everything, getting defence on pures and just being an absolute fuck nut. The whole point in a scam attack like this is, there isn't no gain for themselves? They just enjoy the fact that they're being a cunt and you'll be gutted when you see your account. Do you really want to be trading with these sort of people? i quite like the idea that every day more and more disappear!

That's a very one minded response to this.

I think that some scammers, such as people who have done it in the past but are currently legit may deserve another chance. Can you really be that harsh on someone who scammed when they were 13 because they didn't care but a few years later realized that it's immature and wrong?

Unfortunately i would say yes to banning all scammers on sythe because it simply is impossible to know who will scam again and who actually wants to change. Only on very rare occasions and unique situations can i see something like that taking place.

might as well, honestly you shouldn't but most just come back to the forums.
also it's bullshit when people say it's okay if you refund, so if you get caught you just refund.. what's the whole point of that.
sythe needs a better way to block scammers, like verifying phone numbers or something with each account.

I disagree, they should be IP banned and never welcome back.

All they do anyway is ban evade, wait to get caught. Then ban evade.. so really this a just a pointless situation either way. Unless IP bans are brought back then you're not going to be able to control scammers/evaders.
