Tired of scammer getting second chances.

As someone who is more than satisfied with Sythe's staff, I don't appreciate your ignorant and fact-less accusations.

If you're going to accuse Sythe staff of being too lenient on scammers, please make sure you know what you're talking about first. Scammers don't get TWC rank, just suspicious traders.

Scammers dont get temp bans either. The reason why people get temp banned is because section mods don't have perm ban powers. So they give the scammer a 5 point infraction, which is an automatic 5 day temp ban. Then, the case is sent to a global mod/admin, so that they can perm ban.

Yeah, I got scammed by someone called 'Clock Work' who is ranked as a 'Forum Addict'. I lost $50. But had no proof on him. So nothing could happen. But I guess you learn from mistakes. But I agree, It's stupid how scammers should get /Another/ chance. There IP should be banned from making a new account too.

 

Scammers do not get second chances.... Next time take screen shots of the trade or don't trust someone based on their post count and use a middleman.

 

Not gonna lie, I have noticed globals getting a little lazy with the bans.

 

Globals aren't exactly getting lazy. We're just understaffed now with the recent resignations/other events.

For those of you that think I am trashing the staff, I am not. I think the staff here are great. I made this thread in anger/disgust of the majority population of this site (which is scammers).

Not really, your topic title/first post suggest you're blaming the staff for giving scammers a second chance.

The bottom line is, Sythe staff has zero tolerance for scammers. Nobody gets a second chance, unless they find a proxy and make a new account. Or, if they scam someone and the victim has no proof. That's the only way scammers get a second chance, with the rare exception of a ban slipping through globals.

 

Agreed, once you scam there should be no 2nd chance.

 

To be honest, I lurk in the Dispute section and Mods aren't just handing out unbans to random people.

 

i support i got scammed out of 200m/175$ i posted a report and he is still not banned i didnt have enough proof sadly. wich is my fault i posted him messeging me after the trade and that he verified trade was finished. and a pic of him refunding my paypal. still wasnt enough proof and now he hasnt been on in maybe a week so he prolly scammed more ppl and logged his name was wuify gf me. i disputed this on paypal and he won. now im out 200m and 175$

 

If you sold 200m for $175 you have only lost out of one of those. As unfortunate as it is, you should have taken more precautions against it.
I don't see why people don't view trades in the same light I do, if you have any doubt that the person your trading with is going to scam than use a middleman, if the transaction is still high risk (E.G. Paypal payment) Don't accept it at all.

 

This, too. I lurk the high pardon section, and even the cases I believe should have a chance are shot down instantly.

 

simple solution: Don't accept credit card payments, and don't accept accounts unless they are tested recoverable.

 

well see thats the thing we did it in incraments so it was safe he sent as a gift and everything. his paypal was verified with a bank account. he seemed legit. i reported him today to a fraud agency they will track him down since sythe obviously didnt do anything about this scammer.

 

Once there perm banned they can easily find a way to come back.

 

I wholeheartedly agree with the rage at scammers. However, I do believe the staff do a more than acceptable job of dealing with them. If someone returns from a temp ban without the globals perm banning them, then there's an issue, I'll agree.

 

Yeah basically if you scam one time it should be a perm ban.

If they make a new account from the same ip it should instantly receive a "trade with caution"

If they scam again its an instant ip ban
