I'ma go into more detail since ur considering this seriously:

317: What's pretty much considered the golden RSPS, by far the most used, whether that's good or not is up to you, these are typically either rs07 based or a mix of pre-eoc items and 07 items aswell as bosses, the mix provides tons of content but so does the rs07 version, throughout history 317's have preformed the best "bang for your buck" so to speak, these are the poster childs of RSPS, 317's are balanced to be pking, skilling & pvm oriented, the full triangle.

377: This is a later version of 317, most anyone who ever wanted something in the 300 era went with 317 compared to 377 so not many of these exist, there is currently none on the market, I'm not even sure where you could find a 377 base anymore, probably in the archives of rune-server or very far back, includes the full triangle.

468 & 498: A bit later on then the 377, not many people enjoyed the 468-528 era so most just chose to go with a 317 again, some 468's exist but none are currently on the market that are a decent size, includes the full triangle.

502& 528: Share the same as 468, their not as popular so most people chose to go with 317's since their the most successful, these used to have a niche of people that loved playing them(u could have awesome snow effects and everything from divines to rapiers to the old interfaces with these), these were known for being economys mostly, there were a few pvp among them. Includes pking & Pvming, typically not skilling based.

614: Without a doubt 614's are dying off, these used to be HUGE but now their almost all gone, 614's are known for their normally abusive staff and corrupt owners, Very few "proper" 614's were ever ran, these are without a doubt oriented towards the pking triangle, some had very basic skilling & bossing for pk points, these are geared to make lots of money, nearly everything Is buyable, 614's coined the term "money hungry owners" and put it into RSPS lore forever.


637/639: These are sometimes decent, typically pk servers these are also sometimes economy oriented, definitely for people who enjoy things like nex armours, divines, curses & arma storm and polypores, geared towards the rs3 player more than the 07, 637's and 639's typically are on the pking triangle, but also can be economy & skilling on the triangle.


718: The pre-eoc brainchild, sometimes popular among the people who enjoy rs3 and pre-eoc's combat and bosses, this is for people who enjoy economy's & skilling, divines, torva, curses and other things, these are rarely on the pking triangle and are definitely geared to economy/skilling.

744+ Eoc, u don't want one of these, they are all dead, but typically economy/skilling based.

Arios based server, old school.

 

Arios is overused as hell, it'd just be another arios remake, I don't have a problem with it, but I'm pretty sure this has been done 25x over.

 

Term overused with Arios = fuck up. You fucked up @Bus369 - I have never seen Arios server based adertised anywhere other than Kratos.. If you think this is wrong, show or gtfo.
PS; Projects doesn't count, most projects fail at the early stages.

 

I'll bet you $5 in the sandbox I can find 5 remakes.

CSGO server is live, and info is in the community general section. Couple small kinks to work out, namely map downloading.... But I should have those fixed by tonight.

I think that most people forgot that the 667 revision exists. It came out in 2011 which I believe was the prime of RS2.

718 was the downfall of rs2 imo because it introduced easy to obtain overpowered items that devalued older content and made pvm easier:
- Dominion tower: Introduced swift gloves, goliath gloves, spellcaster gloves which were overpowered and made barrows gloves worthless. goliath gloves allowed you to attack unarmed with the same bonuses as a whip
- Polypore dungeon: Introduced polypore staff and ganodermic armor. Polypore staff was an extremely cancerous weapon that had a very high dps output while costing almost nothing to use. Ganodermic gear was also very cheap and had extremely high magic defence which devalued karils armour which was previously used for corp beast because of its reasonable magic defence.
- Fight kiln: Introduced the tokhaar-kal which had +4 higher strength than the fire and max capes. It also crashed the price of furies by offering an uncut onyx as an optional reward. Imagine spending months training to achieve max stats and you can't even use your max cape because an overpowered cape with +4 higher strength was released.
- Queen black dragon: Introduced the royal crossbow which had a +15 range bonus advantage on the chaotic crossbow, making the item worthless.
- Updated item models: A majority of players prefer the old item models over the new. One thing we've learned from the release of OSRS is that people prefer older content and dislike drastic changes to the game.

There's probably more that I missed but I strongly advise against creating a 718 server. If you want all of the newer content without cancerous updates 667 would be the best choice.

 

317, is what I would love to see.

 

A copy of 07 without zeah would be nice. With free membership
