Donor Perk Suggestion

Adding bigger avatar sizes (2-3mb from 1mb) and bigger UI's (220x50 from 200x40) could be some small but still nice/encouraging additions for 300+

 

Also bigger signatures (800x450 from 650x350) would be nice for 2/300+

 

Also longer UT's (350 chars from 250 chars for $300+)

Support, fitting gifs to avatars requirement while keeping both quality and frame rate is very hard. Would make my life so much easier.

I agree with wonderland ^, the amount should correlate

 

I love that suggestion as it would give more incentive to those users who donate higher amounts to Sythe. Also maybe add another pip for $500+ donators such as "Loyal Donator", or "Platinum Donator" with an image like this, and this is just an example, so feel free to think of how you want to customize it yourself.

 

How do you change your name

 

You have to be a donor (varying amounts depending on whether the change you want is minor/major). You also have to have a join date of at least a year prior for major changes. If you decide to donate, there's a sticky in the donor lounge explaining all of the criteria and how to apply for a Sythe username change.

I personally think donations should be treated as such; Donations.

You are donating. You are not paying for something.

I think this should fall into a micro-transaction category, as well as the rest of the donation perks.

Donations, and donating for a perk, should be categorized differently than they are now. That's my 2-cents

 

So all the current donation features should be stripped and sold as micro transactions? You need incentives for people to donate if anything we need more not less. Support for ops idea

 

Not saying strip what they have currently. It would work the same as legacy ranks work.
If you had it at one point, then you'll have it even if it changes.

Micro transactions would be different than donations. Making Sythe still profitable. Then donations might actually be taken seriously as a form of trust or recognition.

Want bigger avatar? Pay $5
Want an even bigger avatar? Pay another $5 after purchasing the first.

Want a customer title? Pay $10
Want a custom username image? Pay $15

However; There is nothing that says you bought this other than the user center and the obvious graphical adjustments.

Donations would be taken seriously, and then people that are JUST looking for the perks can buy JUST the perks.
