Do you want commission staking?

I support 100%. I'd love to be a commission host honestly. The rules would have to be strict though. I would like to see things like, proving the account isn't blacklisted, that you HAVE TO with no exceptions stream the stakes in some way, something along the lines of if the hosts internet goes out because of anything besides a ddos would be on him and not the bettor. I'm not sure if you can prove that you've been ddos'd or not but it's just a thought, also something like if RS goes down it's not the hosts fault etc. Just some thoughts, sorry for being everywhere.

Thinking about it, the ddos thing I don't know how well that would be received, but in the grand scheme of things the host wants nothing more than to win so he can get his commission. I don't know, it was just a thought that appeared and I typed it out. If it's dumb just ignore it XD.

 

I think this would be really unsafe for the staker. You get a decent risk to get both banned for RWT and for Commision Staking.

 

This comes with a few problems. It's a safe haven for scammers. Unless it gets streamed, there will be no real evidence and the scammer will always win (innocent until proven guilty). If it gets streamed it has to be private, otherwise people could exploit this fact maliciously (reporting these accounts on twitter etc.). There has to be a clear rule for the event that the account gets banned while in the hand of the comission staker. Who will be responsible for the account and who will be responsible for what what's on the account at the time?

I support it, but this will undoubtedly lead to a lot of scamming and banned accounts.

 

Voted no, if allowed everything needs to be recorded and readily available upon client request.

 

Way better than having account rentals IMO.

would probably take a while to make some firm rules for this though but i would like to see it.

 

Could it be a section where you either a) have to be verified b) pay a deposit to Sythe.org that is their equivalent to how much they can accept to stake on behalf of the customer.

 

I'd rather not see it being on Sythe, but there is a market for it and it'd probably be a less risky alternative to account rentals, so I wouldn't be against it replacing that market.

Commission staking is easily exploitable and there are clans who have long-standing reps where people who want to commission stake can do so safely. The benefits of bringing it here do not outweigh the large chance of scamming occurring from doing so

So you're saying that you don't want it because it's easy to scam? This is the most pointless argument. You say there's already clans with reputation - that's like saying people on sythe should only trade with well established people like Bogla because they are already have a long standing rep.

 

And that's what people do say. Pay a bit more so you're guaranteed your product, or a bit less and risk losing your money altogether

 

Account rentals is probably the most unsafe market section besides account sales and that goes for both the person who owns the account and the person renting it. It is very difficult to prove that an account renter scammed someone for X amount for starters, and on the other hand someone renting an account could very easily get it permanently banned in an hour at the cost of only $3-5. Commission staking is also extremely risky due to the many ways the person on the account can rig/fake the stake. That said, there are trusted people in both markets who are available and safe. As for my opinion, I think the account rental section is cannibalizing itself due to the large number of scams so adding commission staking would certainly speed up that process

Commission staking in particular is especially dangerous because there are a lot of ways to scam someone without them even knowing they got scammed. I am suggesting the well-established clans because (in my opinion) if you are looking to commission stake the fees the clans charge aren't very high to begin with and your risk of being scammed is low. The extra scam risk that opening up the market here would bring is not outweighed by the benefits of competition and lower prices and such, it's just a very scam-heavy market.

I would never say that people should ONLY trade with bogla but there's obviously a reason that he's as successful as he is

 

IMO the reason account rentals have such high scam rates is because most people probably don't think that they can ever be kicked off the account and lose their money, resulting in them looking for the cheapest renter as they don't believe trust means anything.

However, in commission staking you are actually trading your money over to someone, resulting in people only giving their money to people they find very trustworthy, and probably reducing scams as only the very trusted receive people wanting to use them.

Same goes for account purchases, people are quite clueless and think there is extremely slim to none chance the account they buy will get recovered, resulting in them not looking for trust but rather cheap prices.

Commission staking puts someone in a direct position of trust so people will only use trusted people

These are some quotes talking about Sythe being a free market/No restrictions/If you get scammed it's your fault.

I only found these on the first two pages? But I know someone linked me more awhile ago where even Sythe said this same thing.

Yet all of a sudden because it's easy to scam this shouldn't be added ??? ???




In that case can we bring up the points discussed in all of the other sections suggestions about regulations and easy scamming --> Name sales, Rentals, Account Sales.

The same arguments being used here against this new addition. Are the same arguments that everyone was shooting down with no discussion.

If I'm allowed to give someone my account to use. Why the hell would I not be allowed to stake for them. I assume everyone is aware that you can already kick people offline if you are the original owner. That money is being trusted wether it's through commission or just straight renting, there is no safety here. The ONLY problem I see is that it would be hard to verify blacklisted accounts. Which means the entire process would need to be streamed from login.
