DNT Rank is currently a joke.

What they're trying to say is that DNT members already get more than they should which makes the concept of them realising what they're missing not as effective. I would agree with this. Most DNT users will never repay even if they need to because they dont ever need to trade on the forums again. It's no longer seen as a big deal because there are so many alternatives.

@A Broken man only thing is I rather there be more DNT members than vaders which Chloe highlighted.

 

I'm fine with the way it is right now. I don't see the need for a change.

The whole DNT rank in general fucking ridiculous lmao. Someone with a DNT could easily have a higher chance with getting away with vading because wouldn't there be less suspicion of them being a vader if they're DNT account is assumed to be their only account, if you get what im saying.

 

It's always been a joke lol? There's been like a grand total of 2 people who were given the DNT rank that have paid anything back and it's been a year

 

I dislike the entire system but I don't see it being removed anytime soon, I like the proposed change but I don't think anything will happen.

 

It is absolutely a joke. I didn't know blackhat hackers like Heads447 were even allowed back into the site. A DNT won't stop them from doing from what they are doing. For all we know, he could be laundering money from human trafficking right now!

 

Heads literally called my grandma a whore, so take that how you will. DNT is not effective.

 

Why would anyone wanna pay back what they owe if they're literally allowed back on the site anyway? Like WTF? Am I missing something? This whole rank is ridiculous. Most of the people on DNT don't even pay back anyway from what i'm hearing...

 

What's the point? People going to scam. People going to vade. Slap a DNT on them all and let them meme with the rest. TBH I think less scams will occur if we just gave everyone DNT's instead of bans. Then they'd be less inclined to evade and who wants to trade with a DNT?

 

Well DNT arent allowed to trade in the first place.

In the eyes of someone with the intent to scam, a DNT account is useless, they will ban evade anyway. How does giving someone a DNT make them less likely to ban evade, if anything it takes away suspicion that they WOULD ban evade which actually makes it EASIER for them to ban evade becaue it will be assumed that their only account is their DNT account if they are active on it.

 

Lol. Duh. That's my point. You don't trade with a DNT, but they can still shitpost, which is what the scammers love doing anyway. That's the incentive to make them not evade vs no incentive at all not to evade. If they evade then they have to either constantly hop VPS or drop their old account which may as well be a ban. So they can keep shitposting, or evade and drop the account and repeat the cycle, or attempt to use VPS switching which we catch quickly and force them to post from home ip. That's why.

And you can trade with a DNT, just not on Sythe, which feeds into my point.

It's purpose has lost any sort of traction a very long time ago. It's basically a proxy to decrease the amount of banned members shown on threads (hardly made a difference). As shown since release, site activity has decreased, countering another purpose of the rank (not a direct correlation but the point still stands).

 

Agreed, it's honestly a joke even down to how it was conceived and implemented.

That being said, I'm glad there is something like it in place, but it felt like it was just thrown out there as a rank without any thoughts to the distant future. A lot of questions are still being asked about the system and it's like a year old? I support allowing members to come back, and I'm glad there is a way to get back onto the site without having to pass a pardon. I personally always thought it was not only brutal but a bit barbaric to have to wait 6 months before being allowed to even attempt to regain access to this site. There should have been some sort of payment system that was agreed upon prior to awarding the users a DNT rank and unbanning. Nothing too strict, but something along the lines of what @I Bleed Duke Blue did with @Time To Buy, maybe even a little more lenient. Remove DNT after the repayment is done, or ban the member permanently if it isn't followed. This way we don't have members like Karl continuously trying to fish for sympathy with some sort of sob story, promise to repay then disappear.

I think it should be enforced even more just like the TWC

Example,if you refuse to go first,and refuse a OMM,thats suspicious,especially if new user.

some people stay on sythe months and months getting away with cutting corners etc,they need to get smacked with a nice DNT or TWC,because some people try and do things legitimately.

Because of stupid ass people in this market i have to screenshot literally every part of a transaction because people are just so petty they will do anything to get over on you (not everyone) but some people will.

I think everything is fine the way it is. If someone has a DNT or TWC it was probably well deserved (80%+ percent of the time)

 

Using an MM is a person's choice moderators on the site have said so many times that this is the case and it is never TWC worthy despite it being suspicious some people may just not like the time it would take for a trade to happen or not like the trustworthiness of the MM. Like if it's a 50m+ trade and only free MMs are online I don't blame for people not having that trust in a person and if the other person gets impatient because of it then thats just dumb they aren't obliged to trade that person and they don't need to accuse them of scamming because they don't want to use an MM. If they dont want to use an MM just say no thanks and delete them off Skype it's simple, you don't need to go calling them a scammer and plaster it all around Sythe.

There's nothing wrong with screenshotting all your trades in fact more people should do it, it shows as proof if ever you need to it or if someone accuses you of scamming it's just good trading practice.
